We had flood damage due a pipe leak in the wall. Paul Davis Restoration came out and estimated the cost to fix the damage. Paul Davis are criminals in book. This is not to say they do bad work but they inflate the costs because they know they are working with insurance companies. They estimated the cost to replace the drywall, carpet, and paint. The insurance rules state that they will only replace carpet to a physical break in room. We had water damage in a bed room and the hallway. Paul Davis estimated the cost for the room, hallway, and the garage. We have four bedrooms upstairs. This meant that we would potentially have older od different carpet in the master bedroom and two other bedrooms versus the hallway and other room.
We elected to get a check from the insurance company. For the same amount of money, Kamran and Elegant Carpet did twice what Paul Davis was proposing. They replaced all of the carpet for all rooms so it matched. The double insulated the garage and repainted my entire garage where Paul Davis was only going to paint the ceiling. The insulated the inside of the house where Paul Davis would not.
I can not stress how helpful Kamran and his team are. They will also work with you on price and will go the extra mile for the customer. Each time they have come out to do carpeting for us, they carpet my garage steps for free. They have come to know that it something we like. This is not to say they don't have weakness but the strengths far outweigh any challenges. I have not always been a fan of some the personnel performing the work but any issues we may encounter have always been corrected immediately.
Davood, who is the owner of the company is a great guy. I was referred from another individual. Initially, he came by with an i-Pad showing me prior work that he and his team had performed. I love it when companies can adapt and respond to changes in technology and use it to correspond with the customer.
Since we haven't moved in, I provided him a key and he placed a lockbox in the front of my home. His team was able to complete the work quickly and within the timeframe specified.
For the same price of the hardwood and carpet with other companies, I was able to include the recessed lighting and crown-molding. As value-added, he included a Persian style rug and wood mop and cleaner. He is a great story-teller and good negotiator. He is willing to go the extra mile to keep his personnel employed, make you happy, and offer the best he can at a price both parties can agree upon. Davood even cleaned my floor for me personally.
Davood personally asked me to rate his team and provide feedback to him personally so that he can better the next experience. This is a great way to do business.
Cons:
His team (not Davood) left food, drinks, and spit-out sunflower seeds around my home. Even though it was unfinished, this should have been cleaned up prior to leaving.
