I think that the appointment went great - Mr. Trone arrived @ the time we discussed and went straight to work. I like the fact that he was on time, did a great job and did not leave any mess.  He went above what we had discussed as far as tightening the toliet seat. This was such a pleasant experiance. Mark was responsive and punctual and his price was very fair for the amount of work he did. He and his brother arrived on time with all the appropriate supplies needed and got right to work. It took them about six hours to complete the job and they did quality work. I would definitely hire Mark again for any other handyman needs that may arise in my 100+ year old home!

Mark is a great handyman.  He has helped us fix trim on our house, repair a couple of toilets, and fix some tiles over the years.  Mark has great ideas and always delivers high quality work.  I would highly recommend him!

It went very well.

In replacing the exterior door Mark encountered a number of problems with the way the builder had installed the previous door. Mark had to trouble-shoot the situation and ultimately had to replace the kick-plate and add tiles on the basement floor. In addition while replacing tiles at the door, he replaced other tiles in the room that were damaged. Although the work took him hours longer than the original estimate he did not add hours to the final price. 

He was responsible and did what he said he was going to do and came back several times to make sure everything was perfect.

From the moment I called Mark, he came within 15 min on a Saturday morning to inspect a bad toilet valve.  He did not charge me for the inspection.  As it was a condo building that needed 2 days notice for the main water shut off, he worked with me to set up a time to come over again to do the work.  His rate was $60 for parts and labor. 
I asked him to install a new dishwasher at another nearby property and the charge was $140.  He was very patient with answering questions and concerns, responsive, and professional.   His charges are fair and reasonable.  He is the go-to handyman! 

Mr. Trone did a great job and responded to our request within a day of contacting him. He stepped in when another contractor dropped the ball just as we were about to leave on a two week vacation. The work was professional and the cost was less than another contractor had quoted. Thanks a lot Mr. Trone.

Fast, efficient and professional.  Arrived early, came completely prepared, didn't leave a spec of dust or dirt behind.  Cannot tell where the repair was made, or even if there had been one.

He charged us with a dollar and sixty cents per square foot. When I contacted him, he said he would come out. I measured it myself so that I can see what it is. After he was here, he gave me an estimate. It was a fixed price estimate so if anything else was to incur, it would still be that price unless there was something seriously wrong with the subfloor. He and his partner were fabulous. They really did a great job. They are middle-aged. They just made a very good impression, being reliable and so forth. I did not feel uncomfortable with them in the house. Mark Trone was fabulous and I would recommend him and I will use him again. In fact, I referred him to my next-door neighbor. He will do a job for her in a couple of weeks.

Mark is my go-to guy for flooring installation of all kinds. I have a home rehab business and he does all my flooring work on each house. He is my personal home caretaker as well and in that capacity he fixes everything that is broken and maintains all parts of the house. He is honest, hard working, and very intelligent. He solves problems using a wonderful aesthetic of his own. I have had a wonderful ongoing experience working with him. I recommend him highly.

I have never been good with tools and, worse, I get impatient when projects do not go according to plan and take a lot longer to complete.  "Time is money."  Consequently, I decided to hire a handyman to assemble a file cabinet I purchased at IKEA.  I selected Mark Trone because of his Angie's List ratings, customer reviews, and the fact I needed a handyman who lived in my neighborhood and would not "price gouge" me for "travel charges."   

Mark Trone is very personable and professional.  Mark was able to fit me into his schedule although he was busy with previously scheduled appointments.  Mark showed up on time, promptly got to work, and had my file cabinet assembled quickly.  While this job was not a major project, I would hire Mark Trone, again, for general handyman work.

It went very smoothly, agreed to the price before and was able to coordinate easily via email.

Mark Trone was been the manager of my home for four years.  He takes care of all small repairs and maintanence, checks on the home whenever I am away and anticipates and fixes all upcoming problems.  He has designed a beautiful water feature in my backyard, takes care of my pool and was project manager and tile and floor installer as well as kitchen designer and purchaser of all small hardware items when my home was reconstructed.  He designed my tile fireplace and designed and installed my kitchen and bathroom tiles,  All this after my house had had a catastrophic fire.  He is so smart, creative and pleasant to work with that I continue to work with him on each house I acquire for rehab.  I am a big fan, an employer,  and a friend  You cannot do better.

I left a phone message on Saturday and he responded within 24 hours.  It was a small job, but he did it well and in a very timely manner.

I called him and within a few hours he came and did the work satisfactorily. I have not had other such work so there's no comparison I can make.

Mark was responsive, and showed up as he said he would. I called around for handymen companies and electricians, and they were more expensive then the amount Mark asked for. Mark installed the items, and even drove to the hardware store to pick up some extra pieces to install the swing. He finished up quickly and neatly, and we continue to enjoy our outdoor space.

He charged $40. They are friendly and responsive. I would certainly recommend them.

My father died in 2007 and as the executor of his estate, I was responsible for getting his split-foyer house in McLean ready to put on the market to sell. I met with a realtor and she pointed out several areas of the house that needed work in order to present an immediate "POSITIVE" experience for prospective buyers of the property. I realized that I did not have either the time or experience to make the upgrades she recommended. I was aware of Mark Trone's expertise as a flooring contractor and general handyman and decided to give him a try. I contacted Mr. Trone and asked him if he would be willing to do a walk-through of my Dad;s house with the realtor and get an idea of what she recommended. He willingly met with the realtor and told me he was ready, willing and able to make the repairs and upgrades she had recommended. In fact, he went so far as to travel to the home improvement store with the realtor so he could purchase the products - vanities; light fixtures and bathroom hardware that she recommended. He started doing work for me on the house in early 2009 and completed his work for me the day before we closed on the sale of the house. I had him at the house approximately 12 times from January to August 2009. It seemed that every time he or the realtor came over, there was something else to be done. I can honestly say that I would not have been able to sell the house without the professional work he accomplished for me. He bent over backwards to please me and the result was a quality job. I am very impressed with his work ethic, attention to detail and overall work product. I would recommend him for flooring or handyman jobs without hesitation.
