Home Building
The following comments detail my opinions and experiences with Wakefield Building Group:
Despite being shown quality past projects and receiving good references, my experience with Wakefield was a disaster. I found promises never kept, a work product that deteriorated as the project went on, and texts/emails/phone calls that were never returned. Workers disappeared for weeks on end. My opinion is that the company may have been reputable in the past, but it is a shambles now. After thousands of dollars in legal fees just to sever ties with a defaulting contractor, I am 18 months into what was a planned 6 month job, with approximately less than half properly completed.
Fortunately, I now have a truly professional builder to redo faulty work and complete the project so that I can have my house back. I still worry about potential future liens against my property since Wakefield's workers and subs regularly told me they had not been paid by Wakefield for weeks/months. This is despite my having paid for the work certified complete by my architect. It seemed a bit of a Ponzi scheme since I know of other Wakefield projects that were completed during the same time period, while mine was stalled.
I recommend avoiding Wakefield Building Group at all costs. I certainly wish I had!

The contractor did work with me to resolve an issue and delivered the services as promised.
