Muddy Mutt is very convenient to the Shirlington dog park (right next to an entrance, actually!). Service is very quick and professional. They are very understanding about my dog not liking to get his nails cut, and he's honestly had the best experience getting his nails cut there. Will definitely keep going here!

The groomer (named Andrew) was AWESOME !!!  Never got anxious during the whole escapade.  I tipped him, well, because of it.  He had to wait 10 minutes for the flea and tick shampoo to set (was only getting a flea and tick bath as a precaution because the puppy had  been at the dog park for most of the day and had gone to day care earlier in the week).
This is the second time I had used their services.  The other guy was equally as good but I do not recall his name.  
The other beauty is that it is located next to the Shirlingon Dog Park so you can enter The Muddy Mutt's entry off the Shirlington Dog Park's gate (outside the "big dog's side").  You can also give your own dog a bath for under $20.00.   What a DEAL !!!

The dogs get muddy in the park and they clean them up. The price is a little comparable.

Wonderful as usual. Hindy has been Otis' groomer for almost a year and Otis loves her. Andrew runs an excellent facility and he provides a valuable service. Andrew's groomers are top notch, and they are kind and patient with our fur-family. One time in December, I brought Otis somewhere that was just minutes from my home, and they clearly did not know how to groom a cavachon. If you don't know, just tell me, and I will go elsewhere.....but don't keep my pet for hours and hours and have him look like a wreck when I come to get him. Hindy always asks me if we want Otis done 'this' way or 'that' way....she is talented, kind, patient, and we love her. I also appreciate that there is always someone to wash and fuss over our hound. They use top quality products, they don't try to sell you anything, and our two come home looking and smelling clean and groomed. I am one of the most particular pet owners on the planet, and The Muddy Mutt is the best. I don't need fancy lobby's, and I don't need someone playing dog-hotel......I want safe, knowledgeable, loving dog grooming, and we get that here. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

The Muddy Mutt is a perfect place to clean your dog in between those (much more expensive!) full grooming appointments -- particularly after a dirty play time at the park next door. For being overrun with dirty dogs, this place is always spotless. All of the equipment is always clean and in perfect working order. They offer a wide variety of shampoos and conditioners and will help you choose the most appropriate one for your dog's coat. The staff is always available to help. All around a very fun and cost-effective experience.

Each visit is great. I very much appreciate having a friendly, affordable place to take my dog for a bath. It is within walking distance of my apartment, so I often take my dog swimming prior to the bath. I leave a load of black hair behind, and I don't have to clean it up. This place is wonderful!

It's unique and cheaper than having the dog professionally groomed. It's fun and easier than washing a big dog in your home. It's a self serve beauty salon for dogs. They also have a dryer. They have a very efficient staff that guides you through it. They have big stalls that are like bathtubs.

We noticed the green building by the Shirlington Dog park and had to check it out. We were the only cusomers because we came in just before the last dog wash. The owner was working who helped explained the process and the availalbe products to use. They provide all the needed shampoos, conditioners and doggy cologne. She was extremely helpful and very pleasant. Our Collie hates to get baths and this experience made him more at ease. We purchased a hair brush. I would highly recommend The Muddy Mutt. It was a great experience and great customer service.

We started coming here soon after it opened and have been recommending it to other since. It is a great place! Our dog is not a fan of baths to put it mildly and she LOVES to come here! She even tries to pull us to the front door of Muddy Mutt when we leave the park. The owners and staff are unbelievably friendly and helpful. Our dog is pretty skittish and she approaches and is friendly to all the staff. Honestly, I cannot say enough about the friendliness of the owners! We love it!!! Don't forget- they have a frequent bather card too!
