The price seemed fair and the people I dealt with were friendly and courteous. They came out and helped design the patio and then a couple of days later, they poured/installed.  The job itself took one day and the patio looked absolutely fantastic.
 
Unfortunately, I am getting a lot of cracks in the patio now. After researching online a bit, I learned that a tarp or plastic sheet is often used to cover freshly poured concrete to slow down the drying process and minimize cracks...something that was not done or suggested after they completed the job.  Some cracks appear to be aesthetic and I'm ok with, but some look as if they could be problematic in the future. I was given a 3-year warranty on the work, though, so I am hoping for the best. So far, and the reason for my low markings, is that they have not been very responsive. I sent them photos of the cracks, as they requested, on August 18th... but not a single response to even acknowledge the photos.  Phone calls go unanswered as well.  It is now October 4th and still no response.  In all fairness, the cracks could be a result of the soil conditions... but since the company wont return any calls or emails, I am left to assume the worst. 

Updated end of Dec 2011:  Had to give the company an overall grade of F....cracks remain and still no response from the company.  Buyer beware.

I contracted with Stone Images for a stamped concrete patio. The end job looked fantastic. I did check out a few of their other jobs . and they looked much better than the competitors in design and quality, and I felt their price was fair. I requested they be careful around my plants and shrubs and they were. They even installed a small temporary fence around them to protect them. The patio took about four days to complete. The sales consultant helped me to choose the best color and stamp pattern for my backyard. I also liked the payment arrangements. Stone Images did not request the final payment until the job was done and I was completely satisfied with the patio.They were very professional and knowledgeable about concrete. I did change the design a little and they were very accommodating with my requests. They did the job they were contracted to do, they could be reached when I needed to reach them, and, overall, I would highly recommend Stone Images. If fact, I am contracting them to redo my driveway this fall.

Job took so much longer than expected. Grass in the backyard was destroyed and had to be re sodded. They were initially very cordial but became very defensive throughout the project.

They didn't finish their job and they still had our money. It took us five months to track them down. They guy who worked for us ended up being in litigation, but there was a question as to who could be held liable because he was no longer an employee.

Our sales guy, Tony, had helpful suggestions and took time to explain how things would work. The actual installation/pouring went very well. The crew left a few items behind after they were done, but all it took was a quick call to the company and everything was gone the same day. I'd highly recommend this company for patios and walkways.
