Excellent! Kept apt on schedule and I waited for the service to be completed. Very efficient and friendly. Recommended by Autohaus for service as they couldn't do it.

I dropped by Sonic Sound for an estimate and talked to Kevin, the owner. I agreed with his assessment that the stereo unit needed to be replaced (the car is 10 years old) and that trying to take out the stereo built into the dashboard was not the best approach. He said he had a kit for putting a new stereo into the storage compartment below the current stereo. He showed me the car stereos he had in stock, I picked one, and he said he could do the work while I waited or I could come back and drop off the car another time. He said he could do the job in 90 minutes if I wanted to wait. I agreed and he had the job done in less than 60 minutes. he also showed me briefly how the stereo works and left me with the owner's manual. The kit fit perfectly into the car and the new stereo works great.

This was a very good experience!  Kevin was able to install a new radio in my old VW and sort out some other technical issues such as getting the original antenna working without needing to buy an expensive new unit.  He was very thorough and took the time to explain and demonstrate how all the controls on the new radio operated.  They did the project in the estimated time.10/10 would use again!

This was a totally satisfying experience. I have a 10 year old car with low mileage that is fine except the CD player has become unreliable, and I depend on that for music and audio books on longer trips. Because the car also had no bluetooth, running alternatives through my smartphone were not very practical. I didn't need to change out any of the speakers or other elements, and did not want to spend a ton for essentially just resolving the CD player issue. I had read good reports about Sonic Sounds on line and it is near where I live so I decided to stop by. The staff were friendly but not at all pushy. I explained what I was looking for and they directed me to some options, without trying to "upsell" me to getting more than I wanted or needed. They only stock a few brands - the units that they feel are the offer the best quality and value (and the selection tracked with the online research of best brands that I had done earlier), so the choices are not overwhelming. I settled on the Kenwood KDC-500 for $149 (their price was right in line with what Amazon and Crutchfield charge for the same unit). They walked me through the total costs of installation with full and clear transparency about the different cost elements, including the additional hardware and installation cost associated with Bluetooth and with opting to extend the audio controls to the steering wheel, as the original factory installed system had been set up. He knocked off some of the installation costs to bring the overall total into my budget. We scheduled a time for me to return for installation, which he said would take about two hours. The day before the scheduled time, I got a call from the store to reconfirm. When I arrived the next day, they were ready and got started right away. They finished a bit ahead of schedule, calling me to let me know it was ready. The nice young guy who had done the installation sat with me in the car and showed me how everything worked. Then with a handshake, the store owner said goodbye and stressed that they offered a lifetime guarantee for any issues relating to the installation, and that I should feel free to stop by anytime if I ever have any questions or concerns. This is a family-run business in the truest sense: the Mom and her two sons are in the store and they are the ones managing everything and interacting with the customers. They all immigrated to the US years ago from El Salvador and have made their life here. I was very happy to be supporting this kind of small business.

This place is great. The service was awesome and the job was done right. They worked with me when I had to reschedule and were very professional and courteous. The waiting area is clean and comfortable with several leather sofas to relax and watch TV while the job is being done. They did a nice job and went above and beyond putting in the new sound system, it has brought back life to my old truck! I will be using them again for my other vehicles.

I called Kevin, sonic sound's owner, 1/2/15 in a panic because I misplaced one of Viper remote car alarm keys. He reassured me that he could delete the current alarm code key and reprogram it. He scheduled the service for Saturday afternoon, less than 24 hours after my call. The shop is busy and Kevin found time for me because he sensed I was anxious for a replacement alarm key. I was in/out in 30 minutes. I was appreciative for the outstanding customer service.  Kevin and his crew including his Mother Rosa, are professional, efficient, courteous and have repeat business as well referrals from previous customers.

They are excellent, I spoke to Eddy(was the one that installed it) and Kevin they are very carful. They did an amazing job with my car. I would highly recommend them.

I couldn't be more pleased with the honesty and professionalism of Sonic Sound. I own two 2000 Saturns. Saturn #1 had a radio/CD player that skipped and jumped when I played CDs, so I replaced it with a Pioneer radio/CD/MP3 player that I got from Crutchfield. After I installed it, using Crutchfield's instructions, the tone sounded scratchy and tinny to me, making me think I needed new speakers to go with my new radio/CD player. The staff at Sonic Sound told me my original Saturn speakers were still fine. They adjusted the settings on my complicated new Pioneer unit to eliminate the scratchy and tinny sound and didn't charge me anything. It now sounds great.
My problem with Saturn #2 was a front speaker on the driver's side that had stopped working. After my experience of replacing the radio/CD player in Saturn #1, I was not relishing the prospect of replacing, by myself, the speakers I got from Crutchfield in Saturn #2. Sonic Sound did it for me for only $70, performing the job in less than an hour.
I got my audio problems with both cars fixed in one easy afternoon. I would recommend Sonic Sound to anyone needing repairs or upgrading of their car's sound system.

I wanted to upgrade the sound system originally installed in the car to enable use of my iPhone via Bluetooth and mp3. I had previously taken the car to another service provider but ended up not using them because they didn't have the necessary parts to complete the installation and were a long way from my neighborhood. Sonic Sound is walking distance to my home and had good online reviews so I decided to give them a try. Kevin, the manager was extremely helpful and assisted me in choosing a new system within my budget. He also was very familiar with my car and explained everything that would need to be done. He gave me a written estimate and we scheduled an appointment for the following week. When I brought the car back he carefully checked the car out to make sure everything was working properly before he took it into the shop (I assumed this was to prevent later claims that they had caused some problem while doing the work) The car was ready on time and before I left one of the staff sat in the car with me and demonstrated all the features of the new system. He then set the clock and sync-ed the Bluetooth, then made sure all my questions were answered before I drove away. I found Sonic Sound to be very customer oriented, friendly and efficient. Their prices were reasonable and seemed in line with other providers. They also were very careful with my car, which I really appreciated. I would definitely use them again myself, and would not hesitate to recommend them to others. Definitely a good experience.

The auto dealer had refused to do the work. However Sonic Sounds gave me an accurate estimate assuming that an FM modulator would be needed. But in doing the work they found that the car actually had the AUX connection and could completely bypass the FM, so the satellite radio goes directly to the speakers. The system sounds great and the cost was less than the estimate. The work was neat and professional and done as scheduled. The service staff were courteous and professional. The cost was less than the XM-Sirius quote to have one of their contract installers do the job.
