Shawn Battle

Shawn was terrific throughout the process of selling my condo. He specializes in Arlington neighborhoods along the orange line of the Metro and definitely knows the market very well. It was certainly helpful that he was in the area a lot just in the course of regular business. Everything was going very well and "normally" through getting the condo listed and shown to potential buyers, through getting the offer, negotiating the price, getting the condo under contract and finalizing the settlement date. And then - a week before we were supposed to settle - the inlet valve in my dishwasher caused a leak, resulting in the need to replace hardwood flooring. By then I had already moved out and lived in Chicago area, so Shawn truly became my "agent" on the ground coordinating everything with repair contractors, condo association, the worried buyer and his agent, etc. Suddenly, he had to do a lot more than anyone expected in a normal condo sale, but Shawn was really masterful with all of this, and even though we had to delay the closing until repairs were finished, everything ended well eventually. I am sure things could be worse if I had someone other than Shawn working for me. So, naturally, I highly recommend Shawn to anyone with real estate needs along the orange line.
