Rick was amazing. He was prompt. responsive and punctual for the appointment. Wore a face mask, kept physical distance and removed his shoes. Not only did he properly tune the piano, but he also played a little for us (he is a GREAT PIANIST). Additionally, he explained every step of his work process and the mechanics behind the piano to my 17 year old so who was in awe.

It was a disaster.  For a piano tuning service, he SHAVED the hammers in the base without consulting me at first.  This is a tuning service on a new grand piano.  It is the ultimate sin.  You don't make such a BIG change without asking the owner for permission.  In addition, whatever he did, he introduced a lot of problems to many keys across the keyboard.  When I asked him to come back and pointed out the specific keys, he tuned everything again and SHAVED the hammers more.

He has ruined my piano. 

When I pointed out the specific keys again, he said he would have to spend a lot of time to find out what the problem is.  But that's exactly why I brought him back.  All he could say was that I had a discerning ear, a very good ear, but he was unable to address the problems.

My piano used to be the most beautiful instrument in the world.  Everything sounded beautiful.  Even a novice can produce the most beautiful sound, but now I cannot spend 2 minutes on my piano without wanting to cry.  Every other key there is a problem.  The base is as sharp as a screaming woman. 

I asked him to come back and reverse all the changes at least.  But he refused.  That is utterly and completely irresponsible.  He ruined my piano.  He should at least reverse all the changes he has made.

For the sake of respecting a professional, I always left him alone and let him do his work.  But I would never had thought anyone would make such a drastic change without consulting with the owner or leave a piano in such an awful condition. 

I am in living h*** since he performed the service.  My piano is ruined and I have to find someone to figure out what was done and fix them.  It was both a financial and emotional toll.  It is a horrible and traumatizing experience.  Choose your piano technician well.

He was very good. I would recommend him to the others. The visiting card that I have says that he?s into piano, piano vocals and keyboards. He?s a fabulous pianist. He tuned my piano and played on it really well. I?m a really good pianist and he?s much better than me and that?s really good. He just performs but does not teach. He?s one of those guys where you name it and he plays it. He?s just amazing with the keys. He not only tunes but performs as well. Most tuners are just tuners, they are not performers. He?s really fast, efficient and accurate. He?s personable. He plays great piano. We didn?t have a Christmas party. If we had one then I was planning on hiring him to play for us. I would love him to sing. We had some family issues and therefore we didn?t have any party. He can play anything and in any key. He doesn?t need any other music to go along with his. He also doesn?t need a memory to play anything, he is so good. I would use his services again in the future. In fact I?ve got his card, and I?m going to call him right now and tell him that I need my piano tuned.
