"This review, submitted nearly 2 years after the work was done, is completely inappropriate. My first warning sign was the owner complaining about how every contractor before me had screwed them over and left work unfinished. The prior workmanship was among the worst I've ever seen. Everything we touched, we had to fix 2 other things that were out of our scope. Initially, we just fixed stuff to keep moving. We found a major Code violation in the fan we were later accused of breaking that the owner refused to fix. We were legally obligated to notify the property mgmt company and the owner again refused to fix the issue. It is a good thing I have that item in writing as one of the property mgmt company's technicians was nearly electrocuted. Our final work was inspected by a Managing Broker at a top 5 real estate company and we were told we did an amazing job. This Broker later abandoned the rental listing with this prior client because of problems and accusations. We received an absurd list of complaints, many repeated above, after the Code issue. We met with the Founder of another large property mgmt company who approved our small list of punch list items and again gave us a good review. Overall, we proposed savings worth thousands, performed quality work, and completed a large update/repair project in a timely manner. There is only one common denominator in all these failed relationships."
