Unions clearly labeled "do not lubricate" are left covered in sticky waterproof grease.
Requests to install new valves are simply refused. The existing valves are locked closed. Two callbacks result not in repairs, but in lectures from the pool technician, telling me that I don't know what I'm talking about.
Waterproof covers are left open, showering the timer mechanisms with pool water, resulting in rust and damage.
Heater is left filled with leaves and pine needles, resulting in flame rollout and requiring emergency service.
I could go on, but what's the point? Merchantability is the central issue here. My patience with PoolService Company is permanently exhausted.
They opened my pool in the pouring rain. I subsequently had to call them back twice over the next few days to address leaks in several of the plugs and fittings that they had removed at pool closing last fall and reconnected as part of opening. They were very responsive to my calls for them to return and address the leaks. In fact, every contact I've had with Pool Service has been very positive, professional and responsive to my needs. I received 3 bills: the opening, and a separate bill for each callback. The bills for the callbacks seemed too high, since I did not expect to be billed for redoing work from closing. I can understand the difficulty in verifying connections in the rain, but lesson learned is to avoid opening under those circumstances and/or to be extra vigilant. I contacted the account manager and he indicated that he would try to address my concerns with the billing.
I have used this company for the last 20+ years. This year I asked for my pool to be opened on 8 May because I was having a pool party and wanted it to be ready. Part of the work was to replace tiles that fell off. After five visits and promises each time that this would be done, it never was. Matter of fact once when they told me they were coming on a Tuesday and didn't come or call, I called the next morning and reinterated that my party was Saturday and I got a what I considered a sarcastic response that they and the entire company was and quot;well aware of my partyand quot;. After 5 visits and a promise that the tiles would be replaced - guess what, they weren't and the party went on without the tiles on the pool. I was very disappointed in their service. Will I use them again, probably not!!
