Par is an extremely nice woman. I’ve been seeing her since I was 5 years old. She always does a fantastic job! I picked out a photo that I wanted my hair to resemble & it looks amazing. I feel like a new woman. She is trulypassionate about what she does. Her salon is very comfortable.

Par does an excellent job

Par gave me the best hair cut I have had in my 69 years. I have straight, fine hair that is difficult to cut. She is a lovely person and gave me a fantastic cut that cut not only my hair, but years off my look. My hair was a total mess and it now looks fantastic.

Par was very nice & listened to all the idiosyncrasies about my hair & the trouble I have getting it to behave. I think she did a very nice job of cutting it. She was short a shampoo girl so everything was backed up work-wise. She did everything she could to accommodate her clients. I left without getting my hair dried to help her out so I didn't get to assess that part of the service, but I will be back to get the full treatment next time. I think she is an accomplished stylist & can recommend her.

I entered Par’s Salon skeptical. I have been having my hair done professionally for decades and have been to the most highly rated salons in the metro area. However, I left Par’s giving her a big hug and knowing that like many other reviewers I would be returning for as long as she is in business – not just because of the great hair consult, great hair style, and great color – but because it is a joy to know Par - and to become not a customer but a friend.

Par is an amazing individual and stylist. I think she can do anything with hair and always with a smile on and pleasant greeting. I watched client after client walk out of her shop happy and grateful for her and her work and as usual, I was one of them. I used to go to Georgetown and then Old Town, Alexandria but not since I met Par. Her work exceeds others and her prices are reasonable. Thank you Par for who you are and all you do. You are a gift!! Par is simply fantastic! She cuts my curls better than anyone -- much superior in quality and cost compared to shops in Georgetown--which is where I live. She is a wonderful person, very friendly and its a pleasure to drive a few extra miles to see her!

Par literally gave me the BEST haircut and hairlight of my entire LIFE!!!! I still can't believe what an incredible job she did. She gave me exactly what you I wanted for my balayage.If you want a stylist to bring out all that is wonderful in your hair, go see Par. Not only did she give me a cut to bring out my natural wavy texture, she also showed me how to style it and let it dry naturally. Par Hair Salon is such a happy place! (This is why I mentioned "psychological counseling" in the Angies List description about the work performed.) Although I have been going to Par for many years I have rarely submitted a review and I should have. Despite her years in business, Par keeps up with all the modern haircuts, coloring techniques, and styles so that I never have to fear that I will leave the salon looking my age. She also makes sure to hire the best people; even if you do not get your needs taken care of by Par herself, it does not matter -- you will come out looking like a STAR! (Which appropriately rhymes with PAR.) If you are a guy, never fear: you will look as if you are going to some event in Hollywood or the Kennedy Center. Just be prepared to have a lot of people flirt with you after you finish with the full Par treatment. They are not being rude; it is just that you leave the salon looking irresistible!

Par is an absolute artist with hair coloring. She is able to match my natural auburn color exactly. She is one of the most cheerful, positive people I've ever met, so it's always a joy to get my hair cut! In addition, both of my teenage daughters love to have her cut their hair. She does a superb job with all different styles. Her shop is light, airy, and filled with healthy, beautiful plants. It's a great environment.

I started going to Par Hair Design after reading the great reviews on Angie’s List. That was three years ago, and I am still as pleased today as I was on my first visit. Par has an excellent eye for color and style.

I was so thankful to have found someone who was very professional, caring, and up for the challenge. Par did an unbelievable job. I honestly cannot say I have ever had better work done in the 10+ years I've had highlights, lowlights, color of all sorts. She lifted my color from a dark brown ombre that was a modge-podge of ash and warm tones and took it back to the bright blonde i was used to using painted full highlights. It just looked awesome! And I also want to say that the shampoo experience was amazing too - I got a lovely head massage during the shampoo that was very well done. Par is the sweetest! She is a top colorist in this area and will be my forever go-to while I'm up here! I would highly recommend, and put my hair on the line for her. And that is saying A LOT!

Par is a fabulous stylist! I am only 24 years old and she has been cutting my hair for over 20 years. She gave me my first haircut. My mother has never trusted another person other than Par with her color, and rightfully so! She has a way with mixing to where it always looks natural and matches her skin tone so that it doesn't was her out. She always knows what works best for my face and which way to cut my bangs when I am feeling adventurous! Par is such a warm and welcoming person and coming to her salon is not just coming to have a service done, but to visit with family and be part of a community. I couldn't imagine coming anywhere else to have my hair done. Even when times are rough, Par always pulls through to bring a smile to all of her customers faces and the best of quality in styling.

Par colored my hair on this visit.  She had cut my hair the month before.  The color is perfect and natural looking as always.  I have been a customer of Par Hair Design for over 15 years and she is consistently top notch in all the areas of ratings. This time was no different.  The results were spectacular.  Everyone told me how much they liked my hair the way it was done.  I always get raves about the appearance of my hair.  The color and cut Par provided for me is perfect for me, my age and personality.

WONDERFUL! Par is one of those special people who sees and treats you like a human being above all else. I have my hair colored, cut or both every 4-5 weeks, and I tend to wait until nearly the last minute to make an appointment; I have yet to have Par refuse to find a way to fit me in somehow, even if she is busy. She goes to any length to please her customers. I had found in time that I became allergic the dye used in other hair salons, but Par uses a dye with less toxicity, and I have yet to be allergic to her dye. Par has been doing my hair for about a year now, and I am so pleased. Thank you, Par, for being such a wonderful human being and great hair stylist!
