Horrible. The absolute worst business experience I've ever encountered. Missed deadlines by three weeks. Condo was not able to be put on the market for an extra month due to continued delays. Work was consistently sub-standard. A 50% deposit was given in advance. Kitchen counter tops were installed before wiring for new appliances were delivered. I now have additional expense to rewire the kitchen. Work was overseen by a friend who checked on the progress of the work. My agent suggested this contractor. (I am undergoing chemo for Lymphoma and do not have the energy to oversee this project.) Mr. Kirby consistently misrepresented when deadlines would be met and the quality of the work. To add insult to injury, he refused to finish the work contracted. He sent me a final bill with my agents name on it adding three additional work orders that I never approved or signed for. I spoke with my attorney and offered him a fair payment of 50% of the balance that was due ($4900 and change). He refused. I sent him a check for the amount due on the original estimate. Today I received a collection notice from another company for the full amount due under the original estimate. Even though he deposited a check for $5500 over six weeks ago. He also deposited the second check earlier this week. Overall experience-bad workmanship-sloppy work by subcontractors, missed deadlines, assurances that he would do right and make the deadline and did not. Business dealing-unprofessional and not reliable. Would I do business or suggest his company to any? No way in "expletive".
