Dr. Adam & Dr. Fiona are amazing. They have helped my family through the loss of two dogs. Their compassion was memorable. They have an obvious love for animals & and understanding of how pet owners feel. My family could not ask for better care. They are not only excellent doctors but also good people.

They are very empathetic, very caring and spend a lot of time with you and your pet. The price is not cheap, but they give excellent care and I am very pleased.

They're very empathetic. They're very caring. They spend a lot of time with you and the pet. Their prices are not cheap, but I don't think any good vet is. They give excellent care. I'm very pleased. She gets several check-ups. She's called in for annual vaccinations and various things once or twice a year. She takes a medicine for arthritis that requires her to have a blood drawl done every quarter. A mini check-up is involved when you do a blood drawl. Whenever she goes to a kennel she has to have a Bordetella vaccine to prevent kennel cough and other things. She easily goes in 8 times, maybe 10 times a year. She has issues that require consultation and attention.

They are amazing. They are topnotch. The two vets that we go to are Adam McClury and Fiona McClury. They are wonderful with the animals. They are always on point. They will not hesitate to refer you to a specialist if your pet needs one.

I use them all the time. They are responsive to my needs. They make room for appointments if I am concerned about something. They will accommodate me almost every time. They have a very good relationship with the pets and they manage to calm them; they treat them very kindly, considering the stuff they are doing to them. They are all great with my pet.

My family and I have been going to Northside Veterinary Clinic for years. Compared to the other veterinary clinics in our area, they are very affordable. But since this is Arlington, it's going to be more expensive than somewhere in, say, Manassas.

One thing I really like about this clinic is that if you have a question for your doctor, THE DOCTOR YOU SAW is the one who calls you back. Not another member of the staff, or another random doctor. If the doctor you would like to hear from is not in that day and your question is urgent, another doctor will answer instead.

I usually see Dr Mary Hahn with my dogs and cats, but I have seen every doctor there over the years, and they are all quite knowledgeable and attentive. There is never a 'stupid' question.. they'll answer every little thing you'd ever want to know, without making you feel silly for asking.

Last time my mother decided that her dog needed to be seen like *today* it was a Thursday, Dr Hahn's day off. So we had the pleasure of meeting Northside's newest addition, Dr Katherine Holder! As usual with Northside vets, she was through, polite, and knowledgeable. She does do one thing differently, though: She did the exam and appointment on the ground! I think my mother's dog did prefer that.

At some point in every owner's pet career, they have to make the most difficult choice in the world:
Quality of life decisions. When you suspect it might be getting close to your pet's 'time to go', noone has better euthanasia counciling skills than Dr Hahn. She helps you go over your pet's quality of life; are they still eating? Enjoying themselves, their toys, ect? Do they still act happy to see you when you come home? Things like that.. she's also wonderful during the actual procedure, too, and explains exactly what she's doing when. She lets you take as much time with your quickly fading pet as you need, and has the euthanasias scheduled so nothing comes after them.

This is just a wonderful practice in general.
Unfortunately to anyone who hasn't been there before, though, they are not accepting new clients..
Unless your family or close neighbor goes there, it's very likely that you won't be able to get an appointment here.

(This is to keep their service quality up, if they had hundreds of new patients coming in, they probably wouldn't have time to be personal with their existing clients!)

Their service has been perfect. They have just been great. We have been going there for 25 years. The office is very kind. They are efficient. The staff is wonderful. They are very professional and experienced. It isn't a super-fancy veterinary clinic; they are straightforward. It's just wonderful.

People feel very strongly about their pets and Northside, aside being from professional and competent, they understand pet lovers and they are pet lovers as well.. We lost a 12 year old dog last year and they were just wonderful. They are very compassionate. Also, they will always get you in and make time for you.

I love my vet. His name is Dr. Adam McClure. They have a few doctors there. I think he has a wonderful way with pets and he is always open to talking about any issues that I might have or questions I might have about my pet. I am not sure and I can't remember how much it is for a checkup. I think it is $125. I don't know. I would recommend them to others. I go every year. I would continue to use them in the future.

When our dog was urinating blood late at night we rushed her to an emergency clinic. The emergency clinic treated her initially, but referred us to our regular vet. Our dog is not the easiest pup on the planet for anyone to handle. Dr. Fiona McClure was the vet who took over Petal's care for the UTI. We were very pleased with the care given by Dr. McClure. Petal needed to have an ultra sound and a urinalysis that required a needle be inserted into her bladder. The staff at Northside treated our dog with the utmost kindness. All members of their staff from the receptionist to the vet techs to the veterinarians themselves are kind and compassionate to both their patients and their patients' human caregivers.

Dr. Mary Hahn at Northside Veterinary Clinic has treated our pets for many years. Because we have multiple pets, we are regular visitors to the clinic. As a result we have seen all three vets, but because of our long association with Northside we have primarily used Dr. Hahn. Dr. Hahn is especially gentle with our partially feral old cat. Our cat is calm in her presence which is extraordinary. Every single pet we have ever had has liked Dr. Hahn. Because we have an affinity for difficult rescue animals, our pets are sometimes a challenge medically (seizures, cancer) and often not easy to handle. Dr. Hahn has treated our many pets through all stages of their lives. We now have a dog nearing the end of his long life. Dr. Hahn continues to provide support and good commonsense advice on how to deal with a beloved pet who is failing.

If you call with a question or a concern, you always receive a call back. All the vets at the clinic take the time to explain their diagnosis and treatment.

We've brought our two cats to Dr. Hahn and Northside for three years now (and this included one incident which involved surgery). In a few words, she's great--and we shopped around (saw four other vets). My only criticism has to do with the whole vet profession--costs have gotten a bit ridiculous. Still, Northside charges competitive rates, and you'll definitely get the best care.

It is a little expensive but it is hard to know what the going rate is. Dr. Hahn is very friendly and very gentle with my dog. It has a nice atmosphere. The staff is very friendly.

The staff was very helpful but they said they were not taking any new patients but recommended I check back in a few months to see if they had any openings.

Happily, I was able to make an appointment the same day since my dog's ears seemed to be really hurting. I totally got lost on the way there (and called to ask directions on the way) and the staff was very gracious about my being a "little" late. Dr. Hahn is a very attentive and gentle veterinarian. She listened to what I had to say, developed a treatment plan with me and discussed future possible treatments if the ear problems were due to allergies instead of an infection. The staff is really enthusiastic about animal care and are all really friendly. After the appointment I took Deacon (my dog) for a little walk around the office and it was hot, so were both thirsty by the time we finished. I decided to stop in again to see if I could get my dog a little refreshment and they were really nice about getting him a bowl of water and tolerating both of our sweaty selves in the waiting room while he was drinking. Most amazingly of all, he led me to the door to go back into the office... with previous vets I have had to haul him out of the car and drag him into the building!

Dr. McClure and his staff are terrific. They are all competent and caring professionals. They make our dog feel at ease throughout the examination so much so that she is happy to return. Dr. McClure takes time to answer all my questions and concerns and is very good at explaining things. He also listens thoughtfully to what I have to say about our pet. Our dog had an unusual emergency last winter that required treatment at an animal hospital (so not with Dr. McClure). At her annual physical last month I expressed concern that the problem might recur. Dr. McClure researched possible preventive options and called me back the next day to share them with me. Dr. McClure's wife (who is also Dr. McClure and shares his practice) is also great. I have never met her in person, but when my dog had her emergency last winter (shortly before close of business on a Friday, of course!), she talked to me on the phone two or three times to help me assess the situation, then recommended that I take the dog to another animal hospital. She called me again on Monday to find out what had happened and how our dog was doing. She offered good information, advice, and moral support for a dog that wasn't even her patient, and free of charge. I was very impressed and very grateful. I highly recommend this practice; I really can't say enough good things about them.

I never know what a fair price is, but otherwise I'm generally happy with the service I get at Northside. It's a no-frills, traditional veterinary clinic. I have gone there for years with my cats & so has my mom.
