We have retained NHLL Inc for snow removal for two seasons 2011 - 2012 and 2010 - 2011. They plowed during the winder of 2010 - 2011 and did a thorough job. They were there early in the morning and cleared the driveway so that all the families could enter and leave.

We are located on a 400 foot private driveway shared by 6 families and have retained New Horizons for the past two winters. Obviously there was no need for their services in Winter 2011 -2012 but they did plow for us in 2010-2011 and did a great job. Our driveway was clear and people were able to get in and out with no problem. They plowed early in the am, before anyone was stirring. Beats shoveling out the drive on our own. There estimate was on target and they were easy to work with.

This landscaper has a professional and personal touch. I discussed the entire job with the owner, who performed a site visit without charge. The owner suggested that I severely trim back some existing screening shrubs, rather than completely replace them, since they would recover and again provide screening. Once he determined what I wanted, he made recommendations based on my current infrastructure and to keep me within my budget. He provided an itemized estimate so I could select what work I wanted completed now and what I wanted to postpone until spring. The owner oversaw all installations and progress of the job with his two member staff and myself. I felt involved with the process, and I was rewarded with an excellent job for the investment. The work was completed quickly, professionally, and all the yard waste was hauled off on the truck. I will certainly work with this company again.

They came at 5:30 in the evening just as it was dusk. They went to work right away clearing brush and putting out the mulch and trimming. They were still working at 7:00 pm when it was dark out. Soon after they left. The following Sunday, I asked my 18 year old son to mow the lawn because it was really high. He mowed it. The next week I then received a bill for all the work they had been hired to do -- however, they did not mow, fertilize or edge. I called the service and left a message. I had a woman call me back and proclaimed it was "impossible" that my son mowed the lawn because her invoice showed that the lawn had been mowed and edged and fertilized on Saturday. I told her that I know exactly what happened. I explained the whole story and thought I would get a "I'm so sorry, there must have been a mix-up." I was then accused of lying and "the owner himself mowed your lawn." I said I had been at the house all weekend and it was impossible. I said I refused to pay for services not rendered -- I would pay for what they had done. Two days later, there was a little sign on my lawn saying that New Horizons had fertilized my lawn. Nonetheless, there were fertilizer burn marks all over my lawn. They called my husband at his office the next day and asked for the money -- he reiterated the story and she demanded the money. I told him that we would pay because I wasn't going to get into a spitting contest about $40. But I did tell him to tell them that I would put my remarks on Angie's List. He did that and they said they didn't care.
