I have used molly maid for the past 3 years.  I have found the administrative staff to be very professional, courteous, and responsive.  The cleaning staff themselves, the few times I saw them (bc I'd have them come when I wasn't home), was also courteous and professional.  The cleaning has been good, although I don't think they clean the dishes as thoroughly as I would myself.  I also had some issues with being double charged on my credit card 4 times.  The matter finally had to be resolved through my credit card company, but Molly Maid was very cooperative in trying to figure out what had happened.  Added bonus to using a company like Molly Maid as opposed to hiring an individual is that I did not have to worry about withholding taxes from wages as an employer, nor did I have to worry about verifying the workers' eligibility to work in the US.

I've used Molly Maid of Alexandria for several years and only kept having them back because I was too lazy to find another cleaning service. They did a "C" level job over the years - including spotty quality, partial cleanings, broken items (with no accountability), bad choices (such as putting the few dirty dishes I left in the sink into the clean load in the dishwasher, or dirty linens into my clearly washed and folded laundry basket), inconvenient cleaning times - showing up very early as I was trying to get out of the door to work or coming very late and being there as I was trying to fix dinner, unfriendly phone calls and/or cancelled service on the very few times I didn't leave a check - even though they had my credit card on file, and other inconveniences.

I have been using them for quite some time. The cleaning service is very poor and they have damaged many items in my home. The only reason why I haven't switched is because it is such a pain to find a new one that I trust, get the estimate, etc. They have repeatedly damaged my brand new hardwood floors, now totaling near a $1000 in damages. They broke my old stove (not a problem since I was about to re-do my kitchen). They damaged a wall. The cleaning is poor. The floors still look dirty and filmy after they supposedly hand wash them. they don't clean the glass in the house. Don't dust things like light bulbs, candles, etc. And very annoyingly, they never put anything back the way it should go (pillows, pictures, vases, toiletries, etc.). The only good thing I have to say about them is that they are prompt and I can trust them not to let my cats outside (unlike other services I have had in the past). I will be looking for a new service as soon as I find one on Angie's list that looks good.

I called to obtain an estimate and was told that for one-time only cleanings (which I wanted), they charged a flat rate of $75/hour with a minimum of 2 hours. I was required to give my credit card number ahead of time. Three cleaning women arrived an hour or 2 earlier than the appointment time. They did a very good job of cleaning, but when it came time for me to sign off on the job after 2 hours of work, the paperwork said I owed $225 for 3 hours of work. There was some confusion over the payment process, as the women did not know that I had already given my credit card # to their supervisor. I was told to speak to the office manager regarding pricing. When I did, I was told that I would be credited for the $75 I was overcharged. Due to an issue with having to change my credit card number, it took several months to see the credit, but that was most likely due to this special circumstance and my credit card company and not Molly Maid.
