Great! I have a very old piano that needed lots of fine tuning.

Great, he was specific about this pricing depending on the condition of the piano, luckily it was not as bad as I thought. It took about an hour. He was delightful and courteous, I will definitely hire again!

He called in advance, set up an appointment, and arrived on time on the day. He was nice and professional. In order to disassemble the piano, he asked me to help him lift the top of the piano and then set it down alone (I have lower back issues and although I did not appreciate it, I went along with it). After he tuned the piano, he scratched it while assembling it (a minor scratch; nevertheless, a scratch). Had he not scratched my piano, I would use him in the future.

Michael is terrific, and a very nice person. He is thorough, but doesn't waste time. Very polite. I was very happy with the tuning, and will use him again.

Mike responded quickly and was available within a week, which is unheard of for piano tuners in other cities I've lived. He presented to my building on time and with his own equipment. I was a bit put off that he had a bad cold and kept blowing his nose and then touching the piano (as you'd have to to tune it!). Ultimately, I was disappointed that the piano was not well tuned when he was finished -- I had my brother listen too (he's a band director) and he confirmed that the central octave is not in tune. I didn't opt to have Mike come back and tune it again because I was honestly grossed out the first time, even though it was easily fixable with Windex.

I found Michael on Angie's List and called him based on the reviews here. It was easy scheduling Michael, he was able to come within a one week time frame. He called the day before to confirm our appointment and arrived at the scheduled time the next day. The piano hadn't been tuned since we acquired it from a friend about 5 years ago. He did a good job and was finished in about an hour and 30 minutes. The price was very reasonable. We will use him again.

He did a nice job tuning the piano. He responded to my request to come out to my house quickly and he showed up on time. Unfortunately, when reassembling the piano he put an approximately 1 cm long deep scratch on the front of the piano. He said it was and quot;unavoidableand quot; but I have never had a piano tuner scratch the piano before. His assistant told me that I could paint over it but that is not practical or appropriate for the finish. In all fairness, he was honest and pointed out the damage to me. He did not try to hide it. However, I will contact a different piano tuner next time. Also, I was not given a receipt for payment. Usually when I have had the piano tuned there is a receipt issued.

Mike did a super job. The piano hadn't been tuned in many years, and then had been moved 3 1/2 hours north, in a moving van. It was way overdo! He was on time, and at a very fair price. Mike is a totally gifted professional and a very nice man. Couldn't ask for more!

He responded to my inquiries right away and was able to schedule a tuning rather quickly. Will request Mr. Hugo again in the future.

He arrived right on time, was very pleasant and congenial. I helped him get the top off the piano, and he spent approximately 40 minutes tuning the instrument. When he was done, he had me test it to make sure I was satisfied. I found one key that needed a slight adjustment which he did immediately. He made sure I was happy before he finished by putting the top back on the piano. He also had great suggestions for proper care of the instrument.

Mr. Hugo did a phenomenal job. We will definitely use him again and I would recommend him to anyone in the area.

My piano was badly in need of a good tuning, and it got one. Michael did a great job on my piano. I don't think it sounded as nice, as it does now, when I first purchased it. I will definitely call Michael again.

Mike called me back within an hour of my first voicemail to schedule our appointment. He called to confirm the night before he came and showed up on time. He was friendly and professional and his charges were right in line with what he quoted me on the phone. The piano sounds great! I will call him the next time my piano needs a tune up.

On time, did a really nice job. Less than an hour.

I found Mr. Hugo on Angie's list and sent him an email describing my old piano and how bad it was. He called the same day and made an appointment for the same week. He was a few minutes early and sat right down and started tuning the piano. He is very perfessional, personable and knows what he is doing. It's been awhile since I've had so much fun at the piano. His price was in the middle range of what he had estimated. I'll definitely use him again.

I have a piano that had not been tuned in about 20 years. I called Mr. Hugo who asked me questions about the piano and also had me play a C note on the piano while listening over the phone. Based on the information I provided and the sound of the piano over the phone, he proved a guesstimate of the cost and explained fully the service he provides. He was exactly on time for our appointment and even called the day before to confirm. He tuned the piano in about 1hours time. He was both professional and very reliable. His charge was very reasonable and right in line with his guesstimate for tuning my piano. Although he does not repair pianos, I highly recommend him to anyone with an out-of-tune piano.

I was having a party and wanted to get the piano tuned. He worked with me and actually came back a second time to finish the job. My friend who had heard my piano before the tuning was amazed at how great it sounded. I will now use him on a regular basis. So will my friend since she wanted his card.

Like many other reviews, I was very pleased with Mike's service. He arrived early and confirmed the appt prior to coming. His price was very competitive and his quality was awesome. I would definitely recommend him to anyone interested in tuning their piano.

I called Mike to schedule a time when he could tune our piano, as it had been recently moved. We scheduled a date and time, and he said that he would give me a reminder call the day before, which he did. He gave me a range that the tuning would cost, depending on how out of tune the piano was. Mike arrived promptly, and gave me some literature about taking care of a piano, and also a rate sheet for tunings. I think it took him a little over an hour to get it all tuned properly. His final rate was within the range quoted, which I appreciate. The piano sounds wonderful. He did a marvelous job. We did ask about a sticky key. He said that if it continued to stick we might need to have the pin replaced. He does not do pin work, but recommended someone who does. We could not be more pleased with Mike's work. We will be calling him again!

We are in Stafford, VA, and therefore outside of his travel radius.

Mike was punctual and explained what he was doing as he went along. A price range was quoted before he began the job and the final cost was midway between his quoted prices. I would recommend Mike to anyone looking for a piano tuner.

Mke came out on time and attempted to tune the piano. He broke a string early on because the piano is so out of tune. He indicated that the piano was too out of tune to salvage. Original estimate was for $200 for a total of two tuning sessions based on the information I gave him over the phone. Mike only charged me $35 since he did not get very far in the tuning process.
