Mr. Masters performed a very thorough inspection, pointing out significant issues to me as he went (rather than just waiting until I received the report), and clearly answered any questions I asked. His report illustrated each issue with a photo of the area of concern. He clearly identified those issues that in his professional opinion required attention, level of concern ("must" vice "should"), why (such as safety), and best treatment (such as duct cleaning to correct high mold counts). I appreciate his commitment to independence from real estate agent recommendations. During the inspection we encountered a water valve (to a pipe heading outside) screwed very tightly closed. He recommended that we not open it until I had a plumber available. Sure enough to Mr. Masters' suspicion, later, when a plumber opened the valve, a cracked pipe sprayed water into a utility room. The real estate agent negotiated the repair with the seller, and we went to a successful purchase. Money extremely well spent.
