LEE CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT INC

We hired them in May 2006. They seemed to quote a good price at the time, but it was not at all reflective of the costs this job would take. As of January 2007, the job is still not finished. They have taken weeks off at a time, and have been very difficult to contact. We have had a dumpster in our driveway for seven months. For several months we had a construction trailer and port-a-potties in our front yard, even as no work was being done. Even worse, when work was finally done, the subcontractors who did the actual work told us that Mr. Boyer (the general contractor) did not pay them, and one of them has placed a lien on our house. They have taken 90% of the money due on the contract, but have yet to put in flooring, finish electrical work, hang doors, or install bath fixtures. On the rare occasions when someone would show up to work, they would come unannounced and leave a mess. In short, these guys are an absolute nightmare. I would never hire them for anything again.
