The price was much better than what I had been paying. The location is very convenient for me. The center seems to clean and safe. My only complaint was that I was not given an orientation to the equipment. I was told I could get this free upon enrollment. I scheduled it and had to cancel because of a change in my job schedule that week. I called and canceled it two days ahead of time. On the day of the cancelled appointment, I received a phone call from someone at the fitness center saying and quot;how dare I stand him upand quot;. I rescheduled the appointment and two times the fitness center person did not show up. I finally gave up. I never was given a name of a person I was supposed to meet. I have been able to figure some things out for myself. This experience made me leery of hiring any of their personal trainers as I believe it was one of the staff personal trainers who was supposed to meet me. The front desk staff is always pleasant. I haven't attended many of their classes but I have heard from women in the locker room that generally the classes are good. There doesn't seem to be a wide variety of classes. Overall I have been a member for about 18 months and my experience has been good.

From the beginning, they were deceptive. The 3 year contract is actually taken out as a loan with an interest rate. Yes, the monthly fee is fine, but why lie about the loan? We sign multi year contracts with our cell, tv, internet, etc. all the time. They don't set up the contract as a loan. It's hopefully different now.
Contract annoyances aside, the place was never really upscale. It is large with plentiful machines. They are not cutting edge, but not prison status either. You go to this place for the convenience of getting a workout in. Don't expect more than that. Also don't expect there to be paper towels. (There is no towel service.) Machines will be down for days. Water fountains don't always work.

The new club owner has made many improvements in the area of newer equipment and a cleaner environment in general. The personnel are more tuned in to members needs. The rates and fees were grandfathered to existing members.

I have been using their services for about six months and go about two or three times a week. They have a really good price and customer service. They also have some of the best equipment I hae ever seen in a gym.

I would not recommend them. I had all kinds of problems with them and ended up cancelling my membership. They downgraded and lowered their prices for new members only, but they were harder to work with, especially with trying to schedule a trainer.
