Gipsy Floors was a pleasure to work with. Although we had some initial issues with the refinished floors, they came back quickly to fix everything. The prices were competitive, and I would recommend them.

Everyone I talked to were amazed how reasonable the price was which in addition to refinishing the hardwood floors, included replacing several sections. This was also a wood design that is no longer typically available and had to be special ordered. We are preparing the house for sale and I even had my realtor and her company asked for their reference to invite them to be part of their recommended companies.

i have 3 company to give estimates but by far gipsy flooring was the most superior on value, workmanship and very accommodating...I was so satisfied I used them again with my current resident home as wel.l(last one was rental) I recommend this company to anyone I know who seeks for flooring.

Before we moved in we had them re finish our wood floors. We didn't move in until approx 2 weeks later. After a few months we called them back to look at our floors because there was scratches everywhere. We just re finished our floors in our home in NC and had zero issues there. Gipsy told us we moved into the home to fast with our furniture and it's our fault. Also our painters tape pulled the finish off the floor after a couple of hours. Few months later we got a area rug to protect the floors because they look horrible now. Now the woods floors have the rug lines all over them. If you are reading this do not use this company. We remodel homes everywhere we move and this is not our first set of wood floors. They used cheap products and did not do enough coats of poly to protect the floors. Now a year later we have to re do the floors again.

Refinished floors turned out very nice but overall not a positive customer experience. Final price 15%+ higher than original estimate, work coverage less than requested, and not responsive to post-job issue raised. Lots of competent floor refinishers out there; shop around.

They did an awesome job of sanding & varnishing my existing hardwood floors. One room in particular took a lot of hard work to sand out stains. The before and after was amazing !! They were patient with all my questions and very competitive with price. Definitely recommend !

When some problems developed with the original floor installation (nothing to do to Gipsy Floors) they were very flexible in rescheduling their work. What was supposed to originally be a 2 day job stretched over three weeks while I sorted out the problems. They were very understanding and cooperative as I had to start, stop the work several times. In the end the floor looks great.

We hired Gipsy to refinish our wood floors. The floors were the last part of a renovation job, and we had recently painted prior to their work. We let Gipsy know in advance that the walls were newly painted so that they could take some precaution or care in ensuring we would not have to do a whole scale repainting job. They took no steps to protect the walls and as a result we had large areas on all the walls where they essentially rubbed the wood dust from the sanding into the walls in their effort to "clean up". They provided no compensation or discount due to their unprofessional practice and we ended up having to call the painters back to redo the entire paint job. The actual floor refinishing was OK except for some areas where they seemed to sand over some of the wood nails, which instead of punching in and covering with wood putty, they left exposed to rust. After they completed the job they insisted final payment on the spot from my wife before I could inspect the job; I saw the potential impact the sanding had on the walls the day before and wanted to ensure they sufficiently removed the dust before I paid them, because as I suspected their was no mutual recourse after that. It's a shame that my only option now is to take them to small claims court to recover the cost of repainting. Also, they damaged the wall; some how they managed to put a hole in a lower area of the wall that they crudely attempted to repair, again unsatisfactorily. Hire them at your own discretion. I will not again.
