The gym wasn't big and I think their prices was not right. Many gyms dont charge you an upfront fee any more and I will not pay for that anymore.

Fitness First - Arlington It's really inexpensive. I really like the health classes that they offer. It's not a big gym, but it's very clean, it doesn't smell. It's not usually crowded. The staff is really nice. The equipment is great, it's not a huge facility so they don't have a ton of stuff but usually when you go you can get on what you need to get on. It's in good repair, things are not broken or cracked. I think they have a sauna, I've never used it. The sales reps are really nice. They were honest. They have an entire spin studio for spinning. Then they do yoga and they do palates, they do a boot camp, they do an ab class, they do kick boxing, they do Zumba and then they do the do these cute classes called Body Pump and Body Step. I'm obsessed with those two classes, it's a program that comes out of New Zealand and Pump is a toning class with like ten music tracks and each song is a different muscle group, by the end of the hour you've done all your muscle group. The Body Step also contracts conditioning and stretching and it is a step class but it's not a typical step class because it's not complex chorography, it's really hard. It's really good. I like it because they use actual songs that you hear on the radio. They change the routine once a quarter so you don't get bored. They have built in with the body app

it's like they have taken into consideration almost an interval training where your heart rate goes up and then down and then up. You don't plateau and I guess you burn calories.

The gym is nice and has a good deal of equipment. There are a lot of great workout attachments, stations, and machines that I don't have even at my home gym (which is a full size gym). The facility is well maintained and generally clean. My one complaint is that it gets really busy during the week after around 5pm, but I would say that it is probably like that at any gym. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised and I will likely buy another months worth of access once my current month runs out.

I go to Fitness first about twice a week but I could go every day if I wanted to. I like Fitness First because their location is convenient for me and their staff is friendly. I will continue to go to Fitness First.

Management is just completely unresponsive. One manager looks like she doesnt work out at all, will walk too close to you just checking things out while you are working with heavy weights. The climate control system doesn't work or is programmed only for the comfort of the people at the front desk, management was unresponsive to all my complaints. This gym started out great but recently has gone down hill. A gym is supposed to provide two things, a clean and healthy space to work out in, and the tools to do so. The past two years the desk workers there keep the gym comfortable for them. Many don't look like they work out at all, so as a result, the gym is way too hot, especially in the weight lifting area. Even for a low price, a gym should be responsive to their customers. This one is not.
