 + -1 moreThe experience was great.The work they did was fabulous. They had to resize the wedding band twice, because when I went the first time, it didn't fit. It is yellow and white gold, and so it is very intricate work, and they did a great job. You cannot see where it was enlarged. I would use them again. I didn't do any comparison shopping.
Description of Work: I had my wedding band enlarged, and i had my engagement ring repaired. one of the stones had fallen out. My engagement ring is my great grandmother's ring, so it is about 120 years old. They also repaired all the times to hold in the big stone.

Description of Work: Facets does not buy gold unless you are using it to have the store make something for you. The store is wonderful, and its overall selection is varied. Facets is clearly a jewelry boutique. It has some of the loveliest pieces I have seen, many designed by the owner!

Alicia, the designer, sat down and talked with my mother for about two hours gathering information such as how old the ring was, how it felt on her finger, if it felt tall or short, did she see this stone before that stone, etc. Then, Alicia drafted a design, showed it to my mother and got an initial approval of the paper design. The next step was to turn the paper design into a ring - it was almost perfect on the first try! The ring needed to be sized and the band needed to be adjusted, but the design was very accurate in relation to the original ring. My mother was extremely happy with the process and was overjoyed in having her "original" ring back on her finger.
Description of Work: A platinum engagement ring of my mother's was completely reconstructed from verbal descriptions to the designer. The designer talked with my mother, gathered information on what she remembered and the time frame in which the ring was purchased. She was able to draw a design based on the information and visually show my mother what her interpretation of the ring was. She was very accurate in her design!
