There is no dearth of real estate agents in the northern Virginia area.  The hard part is selecting one that you can work well with (not to imply that there is just one.)  It is to some extent a personal decision, as different people have different preferences.  I required the help of a realtor to purchase a new home.  I asked colleagues and friends for recommendations, and interviewed 2 candidates.  Both seemed highly qualified and personable.  My gut told me to select Evelyn, and I did not regret my decision.  Evelyn has many years of experience in the real estate business, which will serve you well as a client.  She was very easy to work with, and to talk with.  She listens well.  She was very available, in-person, by phone and by email, and worked around my busy schedule.  She let me have the amount of control that I wanted with respect to selecting listings to visit.  She kept on top of things.  I felt that I was in good hands as we negotiated an offer, and worked through contingencies.  This is where experience is especially important.  I recommend that you consider her as you select a buyer's realtor.
