I saw this architect speak at an Arlington Home Show, so thought I'd give her a try. I don't know if this architect does good work, because we never got that far, but I can say that she's very poor on follow up and left me hanging for 3 + weeks in the process. When we first met, she seemed excited and interested in my project and said she would send others over my house to evaluate my building conditions, etc. After three weeks, I got a message from her that she couldn't take my project, and requested I call her to discuss why. I left a message on her phone (I think she has a home office and no staff) a couple of times and after four weeks I've given up since I still haven't heard back. It's fine that someone doesn't take a project, but I believe they should at least do what they say they are going to do (in this case, send you notes they wrote up, call you back). I also question the fact that she had no references, and seemed a bit awkward when I asked about this and other information -- like whether she had experience dealing with Arlington zoning, etc. She also has information on her website that implies that she has certifications for EPA Energy Star, Water Sense, and LEED, etc. Appliances and buildings get these certifications, not people, so not sure what she's getting at there. I really wanted to like this person, but she fell very short of how she sells herself, and on how much she's able to deliver.

They deal specifically with olden homes. They were very responsive and did a good job. I liked their services and will contact them in the future, too.

The architectural services and project management were excellent, in spite of having the first contractor quit on us.
