I am a homeowner in Arlington. My house was in rack and ruin. Some of the contractors I consulted  (not Crescent)  suggested that I just sell my house "as is" because the expense of fixing my house problems was so prohibitive. There were rotten joists under my kitchen; the tilting kitchen was crushing the plumbing beneath it and I had rotting wood beneath the gutters over the siding. A big mess. Then Max and  and Bruce entered the picture. And oh what a difference they made.  They solved each one of my  house problems at a very reasonable price. I recommend them very highly. I have had Crescent return to do more work 3 times since then and will continue to use them due to their honest and immaculate work · Thank you Crescent!

Everything was smooth, start to finish!

Bruce and Max are fantastic.  True craftsmen - they helped me with a massive home renovation project.  They were professional and communicative (communication is almost as important as craftsmanship and they listened and acted on all my needs). I would hire them again in second.  They will be assisting with future projects (new door, portico, more new windows).  If they were attorneys I would keep them on retainer without question.  I highly recommend Crescent Home Services - you won't be disappointed.

Max & Bruce showed up on time, did very professional work, and charged mush less than we were expecting. There was even one spot of a hardwood floor area that had been damaged from having a large planter on top of it for years that I myself did not expect anyone to be able to fix--they came up with some creative solutions and it looks great! They also saved us thousands by suggesting that instead of buying a new refrigerator when we re-did our kitchen, we could keep our white Sub Zero and simply install stainless steel paneling to make it match all the new appliances! They got the steel applique & had it cut & installed in a couple hours, and the fridge looks brand new!
I would recommend these guys for anything from gutter cleaning (we had that done too) to a kitchen remodel.

This project has been on-going since October and should be completed this month.  The delay has been primarily for my convenience, and waiting for cabinetry to arrive or be replaced by the company from whom I ordered it.  Max and Bruce have been friendly, accommodating, and great at following up with me on design ideas, decor suggestions, and the status of the project.  They were also great at helping with little things like moving the old fridge to the curb so I could donate it to a non-profit that requires items be out of the house.  They responded quickly to the very few problems that arose, and they were good-humored throughout.  I am refinancing my home, and the first thing the appraiser said when she walked into the house was, "What a beautiful kitchen!"  And it is, and my new appraisal demonstrates the value of it.  The only thing left to do is finish the trim, which will happen this week, and replace the front door (and we are awaiting a wooden counter top that I took a long time to decide to order).  They accompanied me to Home Depot to order the cabinetry, and having them there made all the difference for me since I had someone with experience at laying out kitchens (something the "designer" at Home Deport was less adept at doing).  When we received a few pieces of defective cabinetry, they dealt with Home Deport to get it replaced.  They handled all the little extras that I have asked--replacing the front door, changing a light fixture in the stairway, and installing a small butcher block on one counter (that is not yet done, but will be in the upcoming week).  They have worked with me every step of the way, showing me plans, giving me receipts, providing detailed bills, stopping by on weekends when it was convenient for me to discuss the status of the project and to get my opinion, all the while working around my indoor cat and my daughter, who was sometimes there when they were in the middle of paining or wiring and had to stop what they were doing to let her by.  Max and Bruce worked as contractors on my neighbors' even more extensive remodel, so they were highly recommended to me, and I am so thrilled with the experience and the results that I intend to employ them for the next projects...my upstairs bathroom and my basement floor!  If you live in Northern VA or DC area, Max and Bruce are the contractors you should strongly consider!

The repairs and improvements were completed beautifully. Everything looks as good as new, or better. We got a great rate from CHS, and they were flexible enough to work around our crazy schedule. 
We were very impressed with their professionalism, timeliness, and affordability.
