Corey is the manager and I've only ever dealt with him. He is courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. All 3 times I've been there I've waited in the office with him and other clients while waiting for my car. I have never felt ripped off, mislead or overcharged (this has especially happened to me at other places because I'm a woman). This place is trusted and I will not go anywhere else!!! They are honest, timely, affordable, and get the job done! What more could you want?!

I dropped my car off in the morning at 0800. They gave me an estimate on how long it would take before my vehicle would be ready. When I came back to pick up my car they were not quite finished however they were very nice and professional. They did point out some things that I needed to monitor but they only recommended things that absolutely needed to be taken care of based off their professional opinion. They were not pushy about doing additional work if the work did not truly need to be done.



I would definitely use them again.

My experience in dealing with Cory and his mechanics has only ever been positive. He does a great job of explaining what is wrong with your vehicle--physically showing you on the car if you want or taking pictures if it isn't possible to see up close yourself. He always gives multiple options on fixing issues if they exist ("here's the cheap way to do it if you're short on cash, or you can fix the full thing").
Several times I've gone to other nearby shops to get estimates, and every time he has been the best priced (when I had body work done, his estimate was 1/3 the cost of a big shop down the street). He doesn't jack up the cost of the part (he tells you exactly how much it is), and I've never seen him fabricate a problem with a car.
I love that his office is your office, and that there are windows looking into the shop so you can see what's happening. He works hard to build an attitude of honesty and openness with his business, and when it comes to a mechanic, I really value that.
I've never had a mechanic I trust as much as Cory. Highly, highly recommend.

They were supposed to rotate tire but they said I didn't need it done. I think they should have done it because the deal said they were supposed to.

It went great.  Corey kept me informed along the way, and worked with me to get my car back into safe driving condition as fast as possible.  I have already recommended Capitol Auto Land to friends!

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it turned out okay. The service was fast, done professionally and it did not take long. The price was good and I was very impressed.

They are honest and reliable.

It was fine. They did the check up on the car. What they told me was correct. I already knew this was what the car needed and there were no add ons.  The quoted price they gave me on the work that needs to be done is very good.

It went very well from the messages sent via the Angie's List message service to the appointment itself. Cory, the manager, is passionate about his business and makes the customer feel truly cared for. I liked watching him walk other customers before me through his wall charts of engines to show them what was going on. With my car, he brought out the current brake pad and the new one so that I could see very easily why a replacement was needed. The mechanics work their hearts out. The physical structure, at the corner of a busy car fix-it-opolis, belies the greatness of the service.

Prompt friendly service.

I had heard good things about this shop and was not disappointed. The Mazda dealership was quoting me a price of $700+ and this shop did it for almost half that cost. What's more, I had taken my car there initially because of a bad odor coming from the vents and they discovered rat feces in the engine compartment. They blew it out with their air compressor and didn't charge me anything.Shi

I feel the shop is very professional and communicated clearly. I appreciated the shop took time to clearly explain things I could do to keep my car running. The location is also very well located in-between Washington, DC and Arlington, VA.

I think. Their pricing is very fair and comparable to other shops in the area.

I was disappointed they did not take time to fill up the window washing fluid and/or check my anti freeze levels with the oil change. I was also disappointed they could not determine what was making a strange noise in my car. They told me to come back so we could drive it around the block to see what is wrong.

I gave them a B for responsivness because I was left on hold for 20 mins. when I made the appointment.
