Mortgage Companies
Brian Kempf of George Mason Mortgage was the most responsive of the lenders/brokers contacted, very professional, eager to earn our business, and very thorough in the answers provided to all our questions. His estimate was nicely put together, with easy-to-understand fees, and a very competitive rate. We picked GMM exclusively because they had the lowest overall cost, but it was great to enjoy superior service, as well.
Besides good communication throughout the process, and timely delivery of paperwork to our settlement company before closing day, we also appreciated Brian?s offer to issue a lenders credit to us to account for a couple of third party fees slightly different than initially quoted (e.g. appraisal, and employment verification). Our overall loan cost was identical to what was on the GFE, up to the last penny.
We also liked Brian?s assistant Chelsey Temple, who kept us informed throughout the process and ensured a smooth transition from application to closing.
I would recommend Brian Kempf and his team at GMM as principled high-integrity professionals, whom it was a pleasure to do business with.
