Rod bought the materials on Monday and transported them and his tools to my house, storing them in the garage.  This took a couple of trips due to the size of the job.  Tuesday he started in at the agreed-on time, 9:30 AM  and worked until 4:30 PM.  Wednesday, Thursday and Friday was the same schedule.  I was home and helped carry the 4 by 8 sheets of finished plywood and 16 foot long lumber around.  He usually works by himself and could have done the job with out help, having done so most of the time.  I did the painting myself after taking Rod's advice on paint types and brands.  I am very satisfied with Rod's work and especially the overall quality of the finished product.  And he is the easiest guy to work with.

Rod did exactly as asked. We explained what we needed and he took it from there. The end result was better than expected. We are totally thrilled with the bookcase.

This went very well overall. He followed up, did the job, did a good job and charged a very reasonable price. Once he started, he completed the job quickly.

The thing I liked best is that he had excellent communication skills. He communicated to us that he only works for four hours a day but he was on time and worked for the amount of time he said he would. He is a very nice man and he stuck to what he said he would do.

It took a little longer than we thought, but otherwise this was great. Rod was fastidious in his work, and friendly to have around. We had tried a prior handyman who put up fake plastic bead board. The actual wood strips that Rod put up look substantially better - just the look I wanted.

Mr. Bolte did an excellent job - he designed the extension to fit in with existing built-in shelves and added some trim to coordinate the whole effect. He did the work in an efficient manner, cleaned up all work spaces and left the job ready to paint. He was very professional and left no mess.

Rod Bolte kept his word in every regard. He called when promised and kept appointments, unless, rescheduled by prior notification. He was tidy, courteous and personable. His price was reasonable. We would definitely recommend his work.

Rod was on time, polite, experienced, kept his word on all matters, and cleaned up after his work. Overall he did an excellent job and built a very beautiful wall unit from scratch at what I feel is a reasonable price. I found him on Angie's List and would happily recommend him to others.

Rod did the work on schedule once the job was started. He cleaned up after himself and left rooms clean, and in my mind, he was reasonably priced. He designed the products and built them from scratch. He is creative in matching a design to the job, and I have had several comments from neighbors about how good they look.
