Better Lawn Service, Inc.

So far, I only had Better Lawn Service 3 times. Two mowings and one grub control. The mowings were excellent in my view. They collect the clippings so not to leave thatch behind and suffocate the lawn. This practice may not be popular to some homeowners or companies. But no matter how you slice or dice it, it is a fact that accumulation of grass clippings would eventually overwhelmed the lawn. The few points that I want to stress are: 1) Pat, the owner, does come around to check your lawn before giving an estimate. In my case, since the grass was not mowed for a long time, Pat initially thought that it would cost $$$$ for the initial mow but he said he would check the lawn out first. After checking the lawn, the cost turned out to be $$ only. Now that is an honest and ethical way of doing business. No blanket statement. 2) The crew applied the grub control with full consideration of the following facts: a) after a mowing, b) before the rain forecast. The thoughtfulness that blew me off was: they knew that I am unable to immediately water in the grub control chemical, so they applied it the day before the rain arrived. You cannot expect a more ethical, thoughtful and customized service than this. Last but not least, when I initially approached Pat to start his mowing service, I might have said something that may trigger him to think that I need quick service without delay. So he even referred me to his colleague. He was trying to help his colleague boost up his young mowing company. Pat was conscious of the quality of service that he provides: he does not want to be overwhelmed with work that the quality of his work decreases. You cannot go wrong with Better Lawn Service.

Just as called out in the initial estimate, a group of six workmen showed up right on time and got to work. After three solid hours, the front and back yards were done and all the trimmed branches, etc. had been taken away, looking as if nothing had been done. Now our small Arlington house looks very tidy and smells of mulch, which is always a good thing.

I waited two weeks and never got a response.

I have been searching for 20 years and I finally found them a year and half ago. They are the best provider that has ever provided service for me. I have used 10 different companies and they are the cream of the crop. I have used every lawn service possible and I finally found someone that is locally owned, knows what they are doing, and comes on time. He is very competitively priced. I would give him the highest grade possible because they were responsive, they answered the call, they came out, they provided a list of services (probably giving you more than you want),  and you can choose from the list of services. The customer service is outstanding.

They are by far the best that I have used. The price goes by the treatment. It varies, so there is no way to give a price. It's more reasonable than any others that I have tried.

As I said above, I would recommend Better Lawn Service to anyone that simply wants their lawn cut on a weekly basis, to those that may wish to have complete all-year lawn care. I am pleased with their work and the results show in how my lawn is thriving. Seven years ago when my backyard became overrun with ground ivy, Better Lawn Service began a course of treatment and care that eliminated the ground ivy and restored my lawn. I have used Better Lawns for my lawn care for 30+ years. I can not say enough good things about them. The owner is the most honest contractor I have ever dealth with. I know when Charlie gives me an estimate, it will be a fair price and the work will the A-1. I wish I could say that for everyone I deal with.

I would prefer to pay a little more in price to get quality results in my lawn. They are great to deal with. They are responsive and professional. They really understand how the yard works and exactly what I want out of it. The yard always looks excellent.
