We initially solicited bids from a few companies, but Valery and Thomas with Vostok were the only ones able to start right away, give us a complete quote (including labor, materials, a timeline and a payment schedule) and able to work flexible hours, including some weekends to ensure our project was completed on time. Valery and crew were easy to work with, clearly communicated the steps for the project and were easy to get in touch with when we needed to. I found them to be really nice guys and I completely trusted them in the house. Each night they bagged up the trash and tidied up the work area. The work that they did turned out beautiful- I have a gorgeous new bathroom in our basement and they did nice work finishing the kitchen where the wall was removed. The only area for improvement would be making sure to minimize the impact of the construction debris- we had to ask for areas to be taped off to try and contain the dust, but once this was pointed out, they happily obliged. We have quite a few other projects on our list for the house and Vostok is going to be our first choice to getting the work done!

Valery provided creative input on the design at every step and found great solutions to any/all situations that arose. I originally had another contractor who was in over his head/struggling to complete the bathroom. Valery corrected problems that had been created by the contractor who started the project, and also made suggestions for improving the design. I would feel comfortable highly recommending Vostok Contractors for all the different aspects of the renovation--installation of the shower, the toilet, the floating sinks, and all the electrical work--recessed and standard lights, plus outlet replacement, as well as the painting/finishing.

We had been meaning to remodel our master bathroom for awhile as the shower was very small and we had piping issues for our older house originally built in the 1970's. Valari, the owner of Vostock Contractors, was recommended to us by my brother who had hired him to do minor contracting work around his house, including roof and ceiling repairs and minor wall fixes. Valari came over and looked at the old bathroom and gave general ideas of what was possible for a complete remodel. Valari is not an internal design consultant, so we ended up coming up with the bathroom concept ourselves and made all the decisions around fixures, tiles and layout ourselves. He, however, was a good sounding board for us to bounce our ideas off of to consider different concepts. Valari even provided recommendation for tile shops to help us in choosing our tiles, which we were very pleased with. He also gave us clear estimates of how much material would be needed and what type of material would be needed (as we really had no clue). Once all of our basic design decisions were made he gave what we felt was a very reasonable estimate for the job and we agreed to a timeframe to do the work in. We purchased almost all the materials for the remodeling ourselves, but Vostock Contractors picked up all the materials ordered from the businesses. The work for the bathroom remodel was handled almost entirely by the workmen hired by Vostock Contractors who were very considerate around making sure that they spent time to clean up every day. The only real minor complaint I would have of this experience was when it came to trying to get the workmen to come on the weekends to finish the work within the timeframe originally agreed upon, they would promise to come, but then would show up significantly later than the agreed upon time, or not show up at all. This only happened on weekend days and normal weekday work was done at agreed upon time. Valari came to inspect the work on almost every day. He also made sure that any improper work done was redone by the workmen, which did occur once with the toilet installation which was originally leaking a bit after the initial installation. If any materials were needed for the next day's work Valari made sure that we had all the information that we needed to go and purchase the materials. Overall, we were very satisfied with the work done on our remodeled bathroom and the professionalism of the work done by Vostock Contractors. We have subsequently used him to do some minor electrical work (install chandelier, recess lighting and outdoor lighting) and were again quite pleased with the work done by Vostock Contractors at a reasonable price. This follow-up work was done personally by Valari himself and without issue. We highly recommend Vostock Contractors.

I received several estimates for the job of removing the wallpaper and painting the bathrooms in my condo. A friend knew Valery at Vostok Contractors and recommended I ask them for an estimate. Their estimate came in below others I received, so I hired them. They came and removed the wallpaper and painted all the bathrooms. The whole process took 5 days. The work quality was good and I am pleased.
