TEK7 Heating and Air Conditioning

TEK7 replaced our old furnace and AC with a new Heat Pump and Air Handler. Job was done well at a reasonable price. The owner Kim cares the job is done right and fits in your budget. Highly recommend.

I've been very, very, very happy with them.  The cost is under a home warranty service.  Their punctuality is very good.  I've been using them for the last couple years so I'm very happy with them.

I would highly recommend Tek7 for homeowners who want to deal with an honest and reasonably priced HVAC contractor.  Since I have been in this house, I have had four other providers evaluate my HVAC system.  Kim was the first that was forthcoming with the issues and worked with me to provide a long-term solution.  The flexibility that Tek7 showed in scheduling was remarkable and the service was exceptional.  I plan to use Tek7 as my ongoing HVAC maintenance provider.

Tek7 was assigned to my reported furnace issues by my home warranty company. Once they assigned my issue to the company Kim agreed to come out that same evening within 1 hour. 
Kim arrived and was friendly and professional.  He removed his shoes and presented his card with his contact information. He spent about 1 1/2 hours testing our gas furnace system to understand why it was cutting out.  He tried quite a few things (cleaning the pilot, replacing the flame sensor, changing the control board), none of which helped.  He asked clear questions, and reviewed the maintenance history for the system.  He recommended we get a second opinion since the solution was not clear. 
I appreciated his clear communication, his directness, and his willingness to come out so quickly.  He followed up with us later in the week to make sure everything was resolved.
We only paid the $100 deductible on our home warranty.

When I arrived from out of town my downstairs heating unit was not functioning.  I called Kim and he dropped everything and arrived within a hour.  He immediately diagnosed the problem and fixed it.  He is the best HVAC technician I have found in the area.

The first job involved replacing the furnace valve. The quote for parts+labor from Sears was approx. $800. Kim found the same part (a brand new valve) and did the work for $475. It only took him about 2 hours to arrive after our phone call, during business hours on a week day.
Second job involved troubleshooting an issue with the flame sensor. Kim figured out what the problem was (bad connection between the sensor wire and the computer board). $90 for the labor. Arrived less than an hour after our call on a Sunday.

The provider had (2) tasks to perform. The first task was to repair an inoperative HVAC furnace blower motor and control board. This was covered by my warranty service (not included in above and quot;Approximate cost of serviceand quot;. The warranty service covered the cost of this repair and my only having to pay for the $60 deductible. The second task was to replace a noisy and vibrating blower wheel and clean the blower wheel assembly and furnace (preventive maintenance). This task I had to pay for. The Tek 7 HVAC tech, Kim, was very professional with both his skill and demeanor. He quickly identified the needed parts for all affected sub-systems of my furnace. He returned the next business day to complete the procurement of the needed parts, remove and install the new parts. Kim was very thorough in his process. He cleaned the blower assembly and furnace until it looked pretty much new. He then skillfully assembled and installed the components. Once completely installed, Kim performed an operational check of the system. My HVAC system is now back in full operation and running very smoothly and quietly.

Tek 7 called me during the day to confirm an emergency appointment as a referral from my home warranty provider. They didn't initially show up when they said they would, but we agreed on a time later in the evening. When they eventually showed up they were very friendly, knowledgeable, and offered valuable suggestions on how to improve the efficiency of my system, how to keep it working appropriately, why the system might have failed, etc. They recharged it with Freon and were all around great to deal with. I can't comment on price as I paid a deductible and it was definitely worth the deductible.
