Had converted our gas fireplace back to wood-burning. Hired Phoenix and found it to be a great experience. Given the time of setting appointment (mid-Fall), the time to get an appointment was a couple weeks. But they did a great job - very professional and everything performed to task. Would definitely use again.

It went very well. They inspected the exterior chimney on the roof, as well as two fireplace flue systems. They were very personable and professional.

Phoenix was terrific! A home inspector had asked questions about the condition of our chimneys. A video inspection by Phoenix confirmed there were no issues whatsoever. The Phoenix team was expert, courteous, and so careful of our rugs and furniture. We greatly appreciate their outstanding service.

Phoenix not only replaced the caps promptly at a great price, but also inspected the chimney and fireplace chute, assuring me of no problems.

We knew we needed to replace the chimney crown and cement a loose brick. We called Phoenix based on good reviews and reasonable prices to give us an estimate and see if any other repairs were needed.. They did a visual inspection of fireplace and found it to be in good shape and pointed out the other issues which we agreed on. We found them to be very knowledgeable, honest and helpful in explaining things and even removed our old TV antenna which was attached to our chimney. Arrived when they said they would and would use them again in the future for chimney cleaning and repairs.

Charlie and Carl installed a cap along with a visual inspection. Charlie and Carl were great. They were in time,polite , and professional. Charlie gave me some good advice on my particular fireplace and how to maintain it.

I called Donnie to ask about a problem I was having with smoke coming into our house when I started a fire. Phoenix Chimney had repaired our chimney a few months earlier and this was our first time using it after that repair. Donnie called me back almost right away and was very apologetic and told me that he would have Charlie come out that same day to check the chimney to make sure everything was working properly. Charlie arrived and immediately started doing a thorough check of the chimney including starting a fire himself to see if he could duplicate the problem I was having. Charlie made sure to talk to me about the problem I was having and answered all of my questions. As it turns out, the smoke issue was related to the height of the fireplace opening...something I probably should've figured out on my own. :) Even though it was at the end of what I'm sure was a long work day, Charlie took his time to give me several very useful pieces of advice about how to address the problem. I thanked him for coming on such short notice and offered to pay but he didn't charge me for the service. I tried using the fireplace again with the advice he gave me and everything worked perfectly! I would definitely recommend Phoenix Chimney to friends and neighbors. The quality of their work and their customer service has been excellent.

Long time customers of this excellent company, we continue to be extremely pleased with the service and advice provided by Phoenix Chimney. Charlie and his sidekick  inspected and cleaned our fireplace and recommended we have it cleaned every two years He also advised us to continue to use ACS to remove the creosote glaze from the fireplace tiles. We paid $189. for our service. We highly recommend this company.

Phoenix was recommended to us by a realtor, and their service was excellent.  They arrived on time.  After inspecting the damper, they determined that all that was wrong was a cotter pin that had come loose.  They reattached it in about 2 minutes.  They inspected the chimney flue and told us it was good for cleaning in another year or two.  They did not try to sell us any extra service.   They said they were paid by the hour; so there was no incentive to earn a commission by recommending other unnecessary work.   I would definitely use them again.

I moved into my place a year ago and had another company inspect and clean the two chimneys in my townhouse. They found some issues that needed repair, but never called me back with estimates for the additional work. My new neighbor recommended Phoenix.
The team at Phoenix was great. They arrived right on time for the appointment and laid out drop cloths everywhere. One guy went onto the roof to inspect the caps while another ran a camera up both. They confirmed that I needed to have the liners replaced and were upfront that the work was more complex than they usually do. Charlie at Phoenix recommended another company who specializes in liner replacement. He initially refused any payment for the 30 minute appointment, but I insisted.
I would definitely hire them again for my yearly inspection and cleaning.

They're awesome. Their technician Charlie, he's extremely personable. I think he really knows what he is doing. Above all, he's super honest. He's not there to take you for a ride in anyway. I just really appreciate his honesty. It's too easy for a chimney company to tell you a line. He goes the extra mile. He has a camera that he can put up the chimney to be extra sure that it is necessary or not necessary to put a liner in the chimney. He's very, very, very thorough and very good.

Very thorough and honest.  Did not recommend work that did not need to be done.  I've had bad experiences in the past with chimney sweep companies. A friend recommended this company many years ago and they have always done good work for us on our 2 houses.

Excellent.  They explained all they were doing, and gave our three fireplaces a clean bill of health, except for some brickwork outdoors.  We could see what they were talking about and agreed.  They were very careful not to do work that was not needed, and were very fair in their pricing.  They showed up when they said they would, and were very careful to avoid leaving any mess.  We will certainly use them again.

I called for an inspection because it had been a few years since my chimney was cleaned.  They determined it did not need cleaning or repairs.  Noted some old mortar that should be checked in a few years to make sure it doesn't crack and allow rain to leak in.  He was knowledgeable and professional.  He did not rush through the job and took time to answer my questions.  I will call again in a few years.

Great company. I called these guys after another company I contracted out to sweep our chimney gave us several repair recommendations that didn't seem quite right. Donnie, the owner gave me lots of great recommendations over the phone without trying to up sell. Eventually when we decided to go with installation of a top damper, they were extremely prompt and worked very quickly... not to mention better priced than two other competitors from whom I also got estimates. Overall great experience - highly recommend.

No attempt to upsell, and quite willing to discuss their "findings" about the chimney and related issues.

They are friendly, courteous, punctual, and efficient. They are great at assessing my chimney and keeping a close watch on the cleanliness and safety aspect. I will use them next time.

We have used Phoenix before so called them again to check our chimneys....One is rarely used and did not need cleaning. The
other one was in need of sweeping so that was performed and the interior videotaped. In addition the upper part of the chimney was inspected outside and found to need some resealing of the bricks.After the chimney was cleaned, Charlie advised me that there was quite a lot of creosote on the interior walls and suggested we use an anti-creosote spray (ACS) the next time we have a fire to help remove the creosote which we will do.
We are as always very pleased with Phoenix Chimney and will continue to hire them.
