Contractor got paid before performing work. Failed to perform per agreed schedule, the workmanship is exteremely poor, work had to be redone several times and still is defective and needs to be fixed by another contractor

It was great working with this company.  I had some scratches on my floors and wanted them cleaned up before I moved in.  They worked with me long distance to buff the floors and put down a new finish coat.  Everything looks great. 

The owner and his assistant took care to minimize the dust by taping off other areas with plastic. ?After the work was finished and had dried for several days, I noticed some rough texture on the floors, I left a message for the owner Matt Souri. ?He immediately called back, said that occasionally the floor needs another rebuffing and offered to come out in 2 days to do another resanding and apply a 3rd coat of polyurethane. ?Now the floors are smooth and look beautiful. ?I appreciate that he cheerfully and quickly responded to my concern without any hassles or argument. ?Matt was polite, efficient, and prompt in all of my dealings with him. ?He did some sanding and refinishing floor work for me 15 years ago in my previous house. ?I was pleased with his work then and again now.

Hardwood Floors Unlimited is the way to go! I found Matt's information on Craigslist and was skeptical based on the inability to view reviews. Skepticism aside, I called and had Matt provide an estimate. He quoted me at around $2,000 and stuck to that pricing.

Our floors were in grave condition. Our realtor thought we would have trouble simply refinishing the wood; however, Matt didn't seem to think it was an issue. He was beyond correct. We asked for a darker stain to be applied, he put together a few sample areas after the initial sanding and we were shocked how perfect his eye was for the size of the rooms.

Needless to say, I have already begun recommending Hardwood Floors Unlimited to all of my friends who have floors that could use a facelift.

Everything is great and beautiful.  They got done really fast.  He made sure that we were satisfied with it before he said he was done.  He was really professional.  We trusted him enough to leave the house with him.  He does beautiful work and his prices are more than fair.  We have recommended him to lots of people and they have used him and were happy.

We removed the carpet on the stairs going from our living room to second floor. We were disappointed to see that the wood under the carpet was an unfinished attic staircase. It was hideous. We called Matt Souri of Hardwood Floors Unlimited and he designed a new staircase for us made of pre-finished oak flooring. It required a great deal of engineering and problem solving and the results are extremely impressive.

Everything went exactly as planned. The experience truly was "mess free". I highly recommend.

Matt was extremely thorough, anticipating all of the potential problems before the job began. He explained what to expect during each stage of the process and the job was completed, start to finish in 4 days. We were shocked at how clean and professional everything looked in the end. It is beautiful
