Based on web reviews, I decided to to try the Flower den for an anniversary gift. I asked them what would it cost to get a "wow" and boy did they deliver!  I wanted to pickup the arrangement myself as this was my first purchase here. I said I would be there between 11-12 and when I arrived at noon it was sitting there ready and looking fantastic.  Ordering was simple and easy also.
When I arrived home they looked even better (flowers had started to open a bit) and I got a BIG WOW. The next day they looked even better.
In my opinion not only did they use very fresh, high quality flowers, but the designer was fantastic. The arrangement is not symmetrical and looks like it was well designed- by an artist.
I will be back.

I first found out about  Flower Den last year when my Dad died and we needed flowers for the memorial service. In the flurry and stress of planning the funeral with overseas family members, I agreed to take care of the flowers. Flower Den was recommended by the funeral home that I used so I went to see them. We wanted something very different, featuring an elevated copper ship's  lantern in the middle of a white funeral spray. I explained this to the owner's wife, showed her the lantern, and she knew exactly what I wanted. She brought out some pictures, took notes on some changes, and gave me a rose to take home to encourage me. I could not wait to see the arrangement. It was exquisite, delivered in plenty of time,along  with the other sprays we ordered. After the memorial service, a windy graveside ceremony, and being transported back to my home, those flowers still lasted almost two weeks! I was completely sold on these folks. Everyone was talking about the flowers and how glorious and incredibly fresh they were. A picture of the lantern arrangement is my cell phone wallpaper. This is why I used Flower Den this year to bless my friends. They did not disappoint, of course! The flowers for my friend in NoVa were delivered 4 hours later (!) and she sent me a picture. Absolutely lovely and she says they lasted a long time, not wilting or dropping leaves. She says she plans to call Flower Den the next time she needs flowers.  I had been assured that hers would arrive on time, which they did. The florist did exactly what I had described on the phone. Perfect. The owner told me they that could not guarantee that the Va. Beach delivery would be there for Mother's Day, the next day, but that she would try. She personally contacted a reliable florist in Va. Beach and those flowers were there by 4:00 p.m. the same day - the busy day before Mother's Day. Again, pretty and very fresh. I was 100% satisfied. These flowers are not cheap but they are a good buy for the wonderful quality. Who wants flowers that will wilt within a couple of days or never open up? P.S. This week was my birthday and a beautiful spray of lilies and roses was waiting for me on my front doorstep when I got home that day. As soon as I got close to them, I wondered if they were Flower Den flowers because they looked so fresh. Yup - and the soft pink tulips are opening more each day. What can I say? I have the phone number of this florist IN MY PHONE so that when something happens and I need to order flowers, I will be ready.

The owner was friendly and accommodating. The price was part of a package sold by the funeral home.
