Dawson's Plumbing

Mr. Dawson has done several jobs for me in the past few years and, most recently, replaced my garbage disposer. He is professional, absolutely honest, works quickly and has very reasonable prices.

Better than others I have used.

Warren took my call and gave me advice on what to do since he couldn't get to me that day. When he found out I was Army, he rearranged his schedule so he could fix my problem that day. He showed up on time and got right to work. He really knew his stuff and was able to diagnose my problem in no time. He fixed it all in under an hour. I will be using him for all of my plumbing needs

Warren Dawson arrived at the appointed time and began work on the gas line modification. The modification was in a difficult place to reach, but he did it carefully while standing on a ladder leaning against the house. Dawson went to work on the grill conversion and was almost done when he discovered a bad valve in the new grill. With Dawson's assistance Home Depot was convinced to bring a replacement grill and take back the original one. At that point Dawson had worked for 1-1/2 hours and went on to another job. It took a day and a half for Home Depot to deliver the new grill. In the meantime I undid the conversion work on the first new. When the new grill arrived I started on the easy part of converting the second new grill and called Dawson. He returned and did the critical parts of the conversion and we tested the grill to be sure everything was in order. This took about another hour. When it came time to pay, Dawson would only take money for the first visit. He also gave me a 10% senior discount. I consider this a real value. Warren is now my go-to plumber.

Repair was done well.

This was not an easy job since the silkcock was original (almost 50 years old) and was difficult to remove. Mr. Dawson was right on time and did the work quickly and professionally.

It went very well. He came on time and got the job done in three hours. It was not an easy job to do. He is also very fastidious about cleaning up as he goes. His fees are really reasonable. We had one of the larger plumbing companies come in and give us an estimate that was outrageous and they included work we didn't need. He is honest and does a good job.

I had replaced the original bath/shower diverter spout with an after market one I purchased from Home Depot, but it did not stay on the pipe as it should have, so I called Dawson's Plumbing. Mr. Dawson responded quickly and came early the next day. He was very direct and no-nonsense. Told me the diverter I bought wasn't very good and he replaced it with an OEM (Moen) brand that has worked just fine. He spent some time sealing/waterproofing around the pipe and diverter. He was finished within an hour. He also game me tips on restaurants in Maryland with the best crab cakes!

Mr. Dawson was incredibly responsive. I explained my issue and he said he could be by after he completed the job he was on. In under an hour he rang my doorbell. He diagnosed the issue in a few moments, had the parts to repair the faucet in his truck, and completed the job in an exemplary fashion, correcting issues a previous installer left. I was so impressed I'm assembling a list of minor plumbing issues he will repair for me next week.

Warren Dawson arrived early and explained everything he was doing and the rationale for it.  He was informative, clean and pleasant.  We have used Warren Dawson for more than 15 years and always find his price is reasonable and work exceptional.

We recently learned that our gas hot water heater was not installed to code.  The vent pipe is supposed to angle upwards at least 1/4" per foot of piping. Ours was angled slightly downward.  This was a safety issue, and very likely to affect future sale of the house, so we were anxious to get it fixed quickly. The original installer was very unhelpful and stated that it could not be fixed without drilling a new hole in the chimney, an expensive proposition. I decided to try Mr. Dawson to see if there were other options, as he was experienced in both plumbing and gas work.
Mr. Dawson offered to come by the same day I called. (I was not available, so I made an appointment for the next day.) He evaluated the installation, and suggested trying to find some specialized duct work that would resolve the problem. He called me later that day to tell me he had found something that would work, and would come the next morning to install it.
He arrived promptly at the agreed time and was able to reconfigure the vent piping to achieve the necessary rise. He also replaced a section of water pipe that he said was installed with compression fittings with a more direct run of soldered pipe, and replaced a gas valve that was leaking.
Throughout the process, Mr. Dawson was courteous, friendly, and helpful.  He was also very creative and resourceful in finding an economical solution to a tricky problem.

I called Mr. Dawson and spoke with him concerning the problem.  He was at my door within 20 minutes. I was pleasantly 
surprised, since I had called another Angies' plumbing provider, who would not be able to make it to my home until the next day.  Mr. Dawson was congenial and quite the professional.  The service and the parts he provided were far more affordable than I had anticipated and his work was completed within 30 minutes!  I give him an A+++  I would not hesitate to call him again for any plumbing issue in the future!  Thank you, Mr. Dawson... and thank you, Angie's List!

Talked to Mr Dawson last night, explained problem - dire, not emergency. He asked if we had a replacement (no), suggested a manufacturer, and told me to call him when we had one in hand. Got up early, went to Home Depot, bought part, and called Mr Dawson. He arrived in about 4 hours and spent an one hour replacing faucet. I supplied 3rd and 4th hands for help. He was very pleasant to deal with and the price was reasonable.
I got his name off Angie's List and selected him based on positive reviews and nearness to my house (less than 5 miles).

Warren arrive at 0700, just as he promised.  He is highly efficient and wastes no time.  So anything that you can do to prep for his arrival is a win-win.  It saves you money and saves him wasted time.  In our case, we cleared the work area and drained the water in house's water lines prior to his arrival.  Prepare to assist him if you are able.  It can be helpful to have a second set of hands to hold and pass items.
Without a doubt, we would use his services again if needed!!

Mr. Dawson did a great professional job, and was fast and clean.  He was in and out in less than an hour and did all that needed to be done.  Was also fun to talk to.  Highly recommend
