After an intensive review of several daycares, we enrolled our 3 month old at Carousel-Annandale, and have been very pleased with the service. She has been there for a year. I really can't say enough good things about the infant care teachers--some of them have been there for 16 years and really love what they do. They are true and quot;professionalsand quot; and we often look to them for guidance childcare because they have so much experience. They really take the time to pay attention to my child and understand her personality and what works for her versus another child. Not only that but they also care about educating and advancing the skills of your child, even in the babyroom. They have fun extracurriculars too for the children. My baby is so happy there and already has made several friends--which I didn't know could happen so soon among infants.
Similar to another review, I love the round table with bucket seats because they interact and learn from the teachers there as well as interacting with each other while sitting up for the first time. The facilities are clean and organized.
It's great knowing there is such a caring, safe place where I can take my child. It really is the best childcare value for the money.
I highly recommend Carousel-Annandale.

I had three grandchildren and needed immediate child care services and they manage to fit all of them in with no wait basically. The tuition was fine. The teachers were great. When all of them graduated from their little preschool and went to the level of kindergarten they all were rated best out as higher than the other kids in the class. I actually recommend them to someone else.

We enrolled our 4-month old child at Carousel in July 2011 and have had a great experience so far (two months so far). The school is very focused on the development and education of the children, even in the infant room. They send home curriculums each week with a list of activities they have planned to help the kids develop certain skills. For example, on Tuesday they will read a book and act out the sounds the animals make.

The infant room is very organized with plenty of toys and activity areas for the kids. There is a big table with built in seats so the kids can sit next to each other and one teacher can entertain up to six children at once. I love this table, especially as our child is still learning how to sit up and it allows her to interact with the other kids (instead of just lying on her back all day). Each child has their own bed and they don't allow parents to wear shoes in the room, which ensures the kids have a clean environment when crawling around the room.

The children are very secure-- the building is locked and parents are provided with the pin to enter. Parents are required to sign the children in and out every day and are allowed to leave the car seat in the office if different parents do drop-off/pick-up.
The staff has been wonderful. Almost all of them have been there for 5-10 years and it's apparent that they really love what they do. In fact, there have been plenty of times when I looked to them for guidance b/c they have so much more experience raising an infant than I do! They are responsive to feedback and really get to know and love each of the children.

We have been thrilled with the experience so far and definitely recommend this daycare. I recommend getting on the list early though as they have a somewhat long waitlist for infants.
