Air Lingus contacted me promptly to set up an appointment. It was easy to set up a date and time. The repairman, upon hearing the loud noise coming from the refrigerator, knew right away what the problem was. When a plumber had disconnected the water/ice line some time ago, he failed to turn off a switch of some sort. The repairman opened the back of the appliance and turned off the switch, showing me how to do so and also showing me how to reconnect the water/ice line if I wanted to do so in the future. The repair was quick. The repairman went over and above by helping me out with another issue. I asked for his opinion/cost estimate to properly install my loose dishwasher. He looked at it, made a quick, but permanent fix, and saved me another deductible charge of having to call a dishwasher repairman. I was very thankful.

I was referred to Air Lingus, Inc. through my homeowner warranty company after I called to report an issue with my AC unit. My AC unit stopped working over the weekend (late Saturday night). I called my warranty company who gave me the name and phone number of Air Lingus, Inc. as their certified HVAC contractor in my area.
I called Air Lingus, Inc. immediately but was not surprised to learn they were not open at 9pm on a Saturday and were also closed on Sunday. I left a voicemail with a detailed description of the problem and requested that someone call me first thing Monday morning to schedule an appointment. Monday morning came and went and l did not receive a phone call so I called Air Lingus, Inc. back around 11:30am. The woman who answered was very friendly and told me a the first available appt they had was Tuesday between 1:00pm-4:00pm.
The serviceman (Spaul) called around 2:30pm when he was about 30 minutes away to let me know he was on his way. He arrived within the promised window and got right down to business. He tested the voltage and power to the unit and discovered my control circuit board had been fried. He showed it to me and it was literally charred and melted! Fortunately, he had a replacement one on his truck that fit the exact specifications of my unit. I told him I was impressed and he said he keeps a wide variety of parts that tend to fail on his truck to make it more convenient for the customer and for him (so he doesn't have to come back).
Sure enough, as soon as he installed the new part my AC cranked right up and started blowing cold air. As a courtesy he checked all the other components of the air handler and the compressor outside and ran diagnostic tests on the unit. He waited another 20 minutes or so to make sure the new part was functioning properly then gave me the bill for the $100 deductible and once I paid he was on his way.
After talking with friends and co-workers I realized how lucky I was. I only had to pay $100 for the deductible which included the new part and about 2 hours of labor. A friend of mine said her unit had the exact same problem last year and she ended up coming out of pocket over $600. The part itself usually runs between $150-500 depending on the make and model of your unit.
Overall, I had a very pleasant experience and would use Spaul again even once my warranty expires. He was very friendly, professional and took the time to explain everything to me. The only complaint I had was in regards to the company not returning my phone call from over the weekend but that may have been because they had a backlog of returns calls to make and mine was not at the top of the list. They may have eventually called me back if I had waited longer. Also, it would've been nice to have a repairman come out the same day but I realize that is asking a lot. Next day service isn't too bad, as long as it's not over 100 degrees outside.

My side by side refrigerator broke on a Sunday. Would not cool at all. I called Monday morning and Air Lingus said they were sending someone out within a few hours! They did. Adam was prompt and knowledgeable. He knew exactly what to do to get me up and running again. I was referred to them thru my home warranty but will def use for future repairs.

Being 8 months pregnant, I was concerned that we'd be sitting in a sweltering house for an extended period of time. We had a great experience with Air Lingus and while it did take a day or two to get the part in, we were very happy with the promptness of the technician.

Air Lingus was chosesn by our home warranty company, Old Republic, to come out and diagnose an air conditioning unit that was not functioning properly. The technician did not speak English well, and was not able to communicate to me what the problem was, but when he left the first time, the A/C was working. The A/C failed again later that week, and the same tech was dispatched again, with the same results - but according to him there was a different problem this time. When the A/C malfunctioned for a 3rd time weeks later, I insisted on a different service provider.

it was tough to get through the heat wave without A/C...but the AL team found the leaking freon (so the original install a year ago by another contractor missed that) and took care of it.

Stay away. After my bad experience I checked the washington Better Business Bureau and they're rated an F for Quality. No surprise here! Used through my home warranty company. Technician did not perform full diagnostic on system. He didn't even look at the main unit which was in the attic. Went with easiest diagnosis which was cleaning. Said everything was fixed and left. When I called to come back because it was not fixed he first argued with me and said that 80 during the day is a fine temperature if it's hot outside. Then he suggested I go call another company because he can't come back until next week. Did not stand by work at all and didn't seem to want to be inconvenienced by having to go to attic.

My air compressor not working Air Lingus service technician came and made diagnostic and found it was due to a bad power strip. Later on, he came again to check and refill our freon level. He has been courteous and patiently explain the technical detail. The price is fair

Wonderful. My A/C stopped working on the hottest Sunday that Northern VA has had in years. Called Monday morning and the technician arrived around 12. I was leaning to replace the system since it was installed in 1998 but he insisted to try to fix it first and told me that he won't charge me for trying to fix it if it doesn't work. The unit turned out to be shot and I needed a new system. I asked him if there was any way they could replace it the same day and he said he wasn't sure depending if he could find a unit in stock and the other jobs. About 30 minutes after he left I got a call that they would come replace the unit that day. They arrived back at my house around 6:30 and worked until 11:30pm installing the new unit. Amazing service and they did a great job. It was obvious that they had been trained how to diagnose and install and understand the ins and outs of A/C repairs.

I was very happy with them. They came out the same day I called. They needed a part and couldn't finish the work that same day. As soon as the part came they came out and finished the work. They are very affordable and very professional. Because I used them I didn't have to pay the service charge.

We bought the house a little over a month ago, and had a home warranty on it - so we called the warranty folks and they sent over a guy from this company. He got the fan spinning again, and said we could use it if it got really hot and we needed it, but that the motor needed to be replaced and it was a smaller motor than the one he had in his truck. Three days later he came back with the correct motor and installed it. The $100 was the deductible on the warranty - not really anything more to say.

Air Lingus came to my house to fix my furnace. (My home warranty company gave me Air Lingus' number. I called on Friday afternoon and they were able to come on Saturday between noon and 3. He came at 1:00.) He identified the problem -- the automatic ignition that lights the pilot light wasn't working. He replaced it and the heat worked! (Thanks goodness, it was cold!) As new homeowners, we asked him a couple of questions. He told us our furnace was 9 years old and was in good condition and we wouldn't need a new one for quite some time. He seemed very knowledgeable and I would definitely call him again. I wish I could remember his name -- it was something like Evan. Also, since we have a warranty, I knew the cost ahead of time.

The mechanic explained the appropriate amount of soap. He ran several cycles to drain it out, and now it is operating properly. My insurance company told me I would have to pay a $100 deductible for this work but he only charged me $55 for the visit.
