+ -1 moreAfter determining the prior tracking system, Wayne repaired two damaged drawers, installed new tracks on the drawers, and rehung them in the wardrobe. He was punctual, diligent and charged a very reasonable price for the work.

+ -1 moreI spoke to several furniture re-finishers from Angie's List and Wayne's price was less than half that of all the others. He promptly returned all my calls. He gave me a rough estimate of $300 on the phone after I had described the issue, and then came out to see it--and he stuck to his phone estimate (which included delivery). He took the top off the base and took the two leaves with him the same day. And unlike the others I had spoken with, who said it would take them over a month to complete the job--and they couldn't even start right away, Wayne had it done and returned in one week (just as he said he would). I admit I was a bit nervous because his price was so much less than the others-- but that worry was unnecessary: he did an absolutely beautiful job! The table looks brand new. I couldn't be happier and am looking forward to my next dinner party! I will definitely use Wayne again and will recommend him highly to friends.
Description of Work: I have a Bassett rectangular mission-style dining table with two leaves (seats 12). Over the years, some of its finish had chipped off due to water and heat damage. The table had a cheap finish to begin with and it wasn't long after I got it that it began to look bad, so I have had to cover it with tablecloths. But it is an attractive table and I wanted to show the wood, so I finally looked into refinishing the top--but I didn't want to spend a lot of money on it since it wasn't a terribly expensive table to begin with.

+ -1 moreWayne was very responsive, very reasonable in price, and did quality work, delivered on time. We found him a pleasure to work with. He repaired a chair with a difficult break in it and essentially rebuilt a chest of drawers for us, picking up and delivering both at no additional charge. We actually would have liked a few more details done, but he was conservative in assuring he did not do or charge any work not requested, so be explicit in what you want done. Description of Work: Based on a recommendation we hired Wayne Sewell to refinish my wife’s grandmother cedar chest. The chest was a complete disaster before he got a hold of it. It was painted flat white and dirty from sitting in our garage for a couple of years. Wayne cleaned and refinished it (took only two weeks), and now it looks absolutely amazing! On top of that he picked up and delivered the chest for us.
