I had been a longtime client of R&B Heating & Air Conditioning in Del Ray. When they were sold to FH Furr I faced them trying to scam me into buying a new furnace when my current one was just 5 years old. After I got through that nightmare, I found T J Fannon & Sons-- what an amazing difference. Locally owned, operated by caring/helpful professionals. When my water heater failed, I called at 11, had a tech at my house 11:30, and the install crew at 1:30 pm, who was done in like an hour. All at a reasonable price. I won't ever use anyone else.

I called T.J. Fannon at 7:00am the next morning and the techs were here by noon. Thoroughly knowledgeable and professional in isolating and replacing the problem equipment and then refilling and purging the 4-zone system. (Not an easy or fast task) The heat was back on by 5:00pm. They're the best company in northern Virginia. I'll stick with them. I won't use anybody else but TJ Fanning and Sons. They have people who are specialized in HVAC, most people that do service are not specialized in HVAC. If you purchase from them, they don't even bill you for two weeks to make sure it's totally perfect.

Very good, we found. As for price, I don't find them outrageous but I don't really know what the standard is.

They are a great company to use in Old Town Alexandria because so many times the houses here have been retrofitted and have unique challenges and they have excellent an understanding on how to work with the homes and find solutions. I have been using them for two and a half years.

TJ Fannon and Sons replaced my furnace and air conditioner in August. It was a seamless project that started with a thorough free appraisal. The estimator gave me several options, allowing me to decide how much to spend. I thought all the options were reasonably priced, and went with his suggestion to include a large return downstairs to improve air flow. Good move. On site, the crew worked efficiently, always keeping me informed. Did a nice job of cleaning up, too. Thumbs-up for an HVAC company that, thankfully, does not include hard-sell as part of the service.

They’ll come out right away in an emergency. I called them and they fixed the problem that the other guy couldn’t.

I have used them for years. I have a boiler and they are very excellent in that. The fee includes a free service call and some parts are included. If I need service they will come right away. they'll come out if I have a problem and fix it. They have done and excellent job. They are very competent.

All of the technicians were very professional, punctual, and detailed oriented, everything was done in a timely manner.  The technicians cleaned up after themselves and were very willing to discuss what they were doing.  We will continue to use TJ Fannon and Sons from here on for all of our Heating and Cooling needs.

Technician came SAME day, was thorough and kind to our handicapped dog. he accidentally left a little oil soot on the stair runner. I left a VM and the owner called me back promptly the next day and sent a fantastic lady to clean the carpet thoroughly. We've used them for years to both service our furnace and purchase our oil. Would recommend them to anyone!

They completed the job in 45 minutes. Everything was great. I would use them in the future.
