Aragorn came by and we talked about how the work would go. He brought samples of the trim and explained how things would fit together. He recommended a traditional style to complement the Georgian style of the house and the antique pieces I have. We agreed that I'd pay for supplies directly and pay him by the hour. I decided to do the painting myself. He showed up on the agreed day and went to work. The work went quickly and totally transformed the look of the room. No mess other than a bit of dust from sanding; he did all the cutting outside. When he was done he recommended paint to use and provided painting tips. He was prompt, polite, proficient, and efficient. I have other projects lined up for him to do: electrical work, plaster repair, and remodeling the bathroom.
