Sun Sew Vac

After a very thorough discussion of the cost to repair, I decided not to repair. However, the salesman had a machine on sale that cost the same as the estimated repair costs. There was no pressure and all questions were answered. So I bought a new machine.

Very well. Cleaned and back in working order.

Wonderful experience. The problem was fixed in a timely fashion and the vacuum received an overdue tune-up at the same time. The vacuum works beautifully now (and makes the rooms smell good, too!). Many thanks to Robert Hines for his patience in explaining what needed to be done and his consideration toward us.

Great experience as I was shown all of the options and actually steered towards a lesser expensive model as my home needs did not warrant all the bells and whistles! Very honest and no pressure. Plus it is a locally owned store which we all should support more!

He analyzed the problem within a few days as promised, described the problem to me, and recommended that I not repair the machine but instead pay a little more to get a new Pfaff machine. Because of his professional manner, skill at listening to me, and the strong reviews online, I feel very comfortable getting and accepting this advice. I very much appreciated his willingness to provide sound advice and the demonstration he gave me about what the new machine can do.

I had purchased a central vacuum system from Sun Sew vacuum
over 10 years ago. The hose that has both high voltage and low voltage going
through it to control the power head stopped working. I was ready to purchase a
new hose and power head for $500+. Sun Sew suggested looking at the old hose
and was able to repair the hose connection.  Wonderful service and honesty.

I purchased a Pfaff 4.0 used through ebay.  It arrived in terrible condition.  The shipper had turned the box over and over it appeared.  The thread cutter worked sometime and not other times.  The seller had said the machine had just been serviced but apparently that was not the case.  Robert fixed and replaced needed parts as necessary.  The price was fantastic and I could not be more pleased with the service.  I took the machine to Sun Sew Vac on Wednesday and Robert had if all fix for me and ready to go on Friday.  The ladies also were very helpful in giving great directions on the best way to get to the shop.  Everyone is super friendly and helpful.

I originally brought in two vacuum cleaners that had been highly recommended and allegedly designed for vacuuming pet hair.  I  have two, long-coat, double coated dogs.  Both had jammed within  six months of doing what was initially a fairly good job at vacuuming my rugs and floors.  After putting down a deposit for repair on each, they called me to tell me that repair would cost nearly as much as I had spent on either one.  I was naturally reticent about paying that much for a vacuum, but after researching models, I bought a $700 upright Miele.  Vacuuming has become heaven for me, even with all mud that my dogs have tracked into the house during this awful winter.  To their credit, Sun Sew Vac did not try to sell me the top of the line "pet hair" Miele.  The owner told me that he had dogs and that the next level one worked just fine on his pet hair problems.  This is a fine retailer, and I would recommend then to anyone.

With all the positive reviews here I wasn't surprised at how thorough and quickly the work was done on both machines! Robert gave me valuable advice on how to keep my machines in good condition and the appropriate use of presser feet, stabilizers, and the type of prewound bobbins to use! The staff is friendly and helpful. The take the extra step of ordering any supplies you may need that are not presently in the store although the store stocks an amazing supply of everything you would want or need! They offer some of the most reasonably priced classes in the area. Their instructors are top notch! I attended a class on using the Grand Dream Hoop and after the class I was very confident in its use! Sewing/Embroidery machines have become so full featured that it is nice to have that kind of support in order to get the most from your machine! It doesn't get much better than this!

As soon as Mr. Hines determined the problem, he took me to his work bench to explain what the problem was . By the time my 3 hour class was done, my machine had been fixed, tested by Mr. Hines and myself. Mr. Hines had to replace a part that he had in stock. I feel extremely lucky to have such a considerate person to work on my sewing machines. I drive over 100 miles to attend classes at his store and to purchase my sewing machines from him. Awesome job! I would recommend Robert Hines and Sun Sew VAC to everyone! He is a great salesman; considerate of what the customer wants to spend and the needs of the customer are important to him. Robert Hines is a great sewing machine repair man.
