First Starr Construction puts you in touch with top suppliers who help guide you through the process of choosing the fixtures and finishes you want.  They were all exceptional.  Once the job began, Bob Starr and his sons were there every day, working hard to make sure the finished product would be exactly what you wanted.  Because they do one job at a time, you do have to wait until they have completed work for other clients before they can begin a new project.  But this means that when they do start your project, they will be there until the job is done.  
I'm very satisfied with the result and plan to use Starr Construction again when I'm ready for my next remodeling project.

From the very beginning of our remodel process Bob Starr of Starr Construction proved to us that he was a true professional in all that he did. From our first meeting as we presented to him what we wanted to do he followed up with his contract and his recommendations in a very detailed manner leaving us with no questions. The start date was given and as he arrived the first day he followed his schedule without any delays and we always knew what was going to take place each day. He went above and beyond in many ways to make sure his work was exactly what we wanted and that it met our standards. During the job he also took time to complete other tasks that were not in the contract, but with extra time in their schedule he willing put his crew on these jobs which made the remodel even better. At the completion he presented us with an entire manual of all of information from our appliances, materials used and put in order all the warranty cards so that we could send them in.

I would without any hesitation recommend Starr Construction to anyone who is looking for quality remodeling!

The whole experience was wonderful.  The quotes were right on and Bob always made sure he knew what we wanted for our space.  He knows suppliers with high end finishes at the most reasonable prices and guides you well.  He listened well and offered excellent suggestions based upon thirty years of contract and remodeling work.  Bob only works on one project at a time.  You can count on him to be there each and every day with his crew of family members only.  He does not take breaks in the middle of a project and you don't have to wonder who will be the crew in your home each day.  The work space is left clean and safe each day.  He goes through great lengths to prevent the spread of dust throught the rest of the house.  All Starr Construction, Inc's work is guaranteed for one year and it is easy to get taken care of.  We are thrilled with our kitchen, the way the same space but new design opened up the house, the suggestions for providing for greater continuity of existing structures (bay window and garden window) and the small details that we did not think of to make the kitchen uniquely ours in a custom manner.

See above.  Very pleased; work progressed as outlined in original conversation with Starr.  Was willing to make any changes we asked for and never complained if requested anything be redone (most of these type requests were more a taste thing than a quality of work issue).

As we wrote above the process was great from start to finish.  It took two weeks and we are thrilled!!

Starr Construction Inc. performed an outstanding job for us with their excellent work ethic. We were introduced to Bob Starr, the owner, by a close and trusted friend who is in the construction business. We called several references who provided positive and glowing recommendations. Bob and his wife, Cindy, came to the house and listened as we explained that we wanted to add a 20' x 10' addition to our kitchen. We wanted the bathroom moved from between the kitchen and the family room to make the kitchen/family room one large area. The bathroom was to be moved to the end of our long living room.  We wanted a large walk-in pantry as well as a butler's pantry and a self-contained laundry room. The washer and dryer had been in a small closet in the kitchen. Bob returned with computerized architectural drawings and a break down of the prices for every step of the job. He guaranteed that he and his crew, which included his sons and another worker, would be at our home at 7 AM every morning and would complete the job in 3 months. A big selling point was that our job was the only job they would be doing until completion. The job began the week after Labor Day and we were able to have Thanksgiving dinner in our new kitchen/family room with a few things still needing to be completed. The job was totally finished before Christmas. We were most impressed by their work ethic, their actual skill and craftsmanship, and the competent way in which the work was completed. Bob built in our refrigerator with wood pieces to match the new cabinets. His son, Ben, did all of the tile work and helped us to pick it all out. They custom built shelves over our fireplace and finished it with a granite hearth. They installed all of the appliances, cabinets, a large island, granite counter-tops, track lighting in the glass cabinets and under all of the cabinets, recessed lighting, a surround sound system, all of the wiring for a flat screen television, two sky lights, new windows, an out swing French wood door and a full bathroom. We are so pleased with our new kitchen that we have recommended Starr Construction Inc. to several of our neighbors and friends. They have all hired Bob and his crew and they have all been very pleased also.

I interviewed a number of builders and was not satisfied with any I of them.  I met Bob Starr of Starr Construction Inc. after visiting a friend who had just completed an addition and a new kitchen.    I was so impressed with the craftsmanship and the overall quality of the job, I had to meet him and see if he could do my renovation.  In our first meeting we discussed what I wanted to accomplish and my ideas on how to reconfigure the 2nd floor.  Bob and his wife Cindy took a tour of my 2nd floor, he immediately had great ideas and suggestions.  A few weeks later we met again and Bob had prepared a well thought out design and beautiful drawings.  We made a few slight changes and went on to the next step of pricing.  I asked Bob for construction pricing with  mid range (for good quality products) allowances for fixtures, lighting etc.   The estimate was reasonable and fair so we signed the contract with a start date  in 8 -10 weeks.   Bob estimated the job to take about 12 weeks to complete. 
We started on time, finished on time, and stayed on budget!  I did go over budget on a few things but that was my decision and I was aware of it.  The quality of the work was outstanding.  The construction process went smoothly and Bob took care of any issues that came up.   Bob and his sons Ben and Dan along with the rest on the team were polite, trustworthy and honest.  They came on time everyday, cleaned up everyday and were very respectful of my home.  Starr Construction completed a honey-do list a mile long, always with a smile on their face.   It was a very good experience and I  give them my highest recommendation .
