Truly amongst the top 1% of services/contractors/work I have hired. Superb quality of product, professionalism, and always positive. Took on other repair projects on multiple visits. Attention to detail the best I have ever seen. Kept work sites clean, neat, and orderly, even with insulation. Projects included kitchen vent installation with significant structural work, vent sealing, vent fan installation, caulking projects, cabinet mounting, overhead storage rack mounting, iron table mounting, tub railing installation, and external sealing work. Attention to detail included redistribution of blown attic insulation after installing multiple ceiling fans - first I've ever seen. Very responsive to text and e-mail communication. FANTASTIC team with Scott. Provided excellent references for other projects. Am looking to utilize them again in the near future for installation projects, remodel, and flooring work. SUPERB COMPANY - cannot provide a stronger referral.

Owner of the company, Scott, would not accept any payment until the job was finished and I was satisfied. I offered to give him half of the agreed upon fee but refused until job completion.

First time caller to the service. Needed to have our garbage disposal replaced as soon as possible as we were having family flying in the following day. Called and was assured that someone would be at our home by 5pm the following day. As promised, worker showed up at 5pm and replaced our garbage disposal. My HOA requires our units to get our wash hose replaced every 5 years. My wash/ dryer is a stacked unit that is too heavy for me to lift alone so I booked an appointment for a handyman. I had a guy come and inspect it and made an appointment for the following week. He never showed, thankfully Jessica from Home Advisor helped me find another company. SMJ Home Solutions came out to inspect and replace my wash hose. Steve and Sky(sp) did an excellent job. They were professional, knowledgeable and respectful. They quickly went to work on pulling the stacked unit back to replace the hose behind the unit. Thank you SMJ, your work is much appreciated.

I contacted SMJ Home Solutions yesterday after Best Buy dropped off a slide-in range with no installation which they stated would be provided when the range was purchased. I spent three hours on the phone trying to get them to send an installer until I finally just got fed up and searched for someone on my own. I found SMJ on Home Advisor and called. I spoke with Scott and explained my situation to him. He took my number and said he would reach out to his installers to see if they had any same day availability. Steve called back about an hour later to say that he could be at my home by 7pm. When he arrived, he noted that the range was about an inch and a half wider than the space that the previous range was removed from. He went above and beyond to gain the space needed by pushing the refrigerator closer to the wall, removing the granite backsplash and shifting the cabinet over as well. He was finally able to get the range in the space. Afterwards, he stated that they (SMJ) could work to find another piece of granite to fit the empty space that was behind the previous range. He measured the space and took the granite that he previously removed so that he could match it as closely as possible to blend with the rest of the countertop. I'm so elated that Best Buy never sent an installer (they still never called me back even as I write this review) because they would never have provided the level of service that Steve and Scott provided and the extra effort that Steve put forth to ensure my kitchen remained as beautiful with the new slide-in range as it had been with the freestanding one. Plus, they squeezed me into what was already a very busy day for them. These guys are the epitome of what "going above and beyond for their customers" really means. For too many businesses, this is just a marketing statement but Scott and Steve are showing how it's supposed to be done. Although my home has been pretty much updated throughout now, I will be sure to highly recommend SMJ to my family and friends and anyone else looking for great work combined with fantastic customer service! I will definitely use them again for any future home projects as well.
