Smart Choice Painting was no doubt the best contractor I have used in years. Jamie
was very professional, always on time and always went the extra mile to provide
the very best service. I had concerns as this job was painting the exterior of my
home however Jamie kept me fully informed on all the major and minor detail the
project. Issues were handled as they came up. This project went exactly as
planned and how often can you say that. I highly recommend Smart Choice, if the
job is important to you and you want you get exactly what you pay for this is
the service to use.

Jaime Blanco, the owner, was responsive, courteous, professional, and helpful throughout. He responded promptly to make an appointment when I requested a cost estimate. He spent time examining all the work areas when he came over to do the estimate, discussing the tasks and explaining what he'd be doing. He seemed knowledgable about dealing with special circumstances, such as painting the pine paneling, which took extra effort by sanding first and using a super-adhesive paint.
I got 3 cost estimates, and Smart Choice's came in the middle. I didn't feel confident about the knowledge and experience of the low bidder, and while the high bidder appeared to be very high quality, I felt that Jaime could also do a very good job at a better price.
He started on the scheduled date, and he and his workers were very careful to first make sure everything was well covered -- furniture, bookcases, floors, etc. They showed up on time and worked hard through each day. When, at the end of the week, it looked like they might have to come back on Monday for part of the day to finish, they worked extra hours on Friday so the job would be done before the weekend.
The painting and other work looks great. I'd use Smart Choice again and would recommend them to others.

Every contractor should be this good! Jamie at Smart Choice Painting was amazing. From his first visit to provide an estimate he was friendly, professional, and punctual. Before he started the job he had colors mixed and brought to the house so we could try them. I had picked a color and he had it remixed when it was just a bit off and I didn't like it. I am persnickety and when I told Jamie I expected the cut lines where the very dark paint of the walls met the very white ceiling to be EXACT he was not fazed.

Jamie and his team were always on time. If he said he was going to be there at 7AM he was at the front door at exactly 7AM. The work area was always spotless and I always felt his team took pride in treating my home with respect. The general contractor had numerous delays and I had to change the dates for Jamie to finish several times. He was accommodating and worked my job into his schedule - a true professional. The overall paint job is stunning and I have had many compliments on how good it looks - several people have even noticed how perfect the ceiling cut line is.

I am having a new front door installed and Smart Choice Painting will follow behind them to paint the front exterior of my house. I'm also having him paint the entire inside of my house as I go continue my remodel. Call Jamie now and get the best painter in the area booked. I've already referred him to neighbors and friends.

I called Jaime Blanco with an urgent painting requirement that needed to be completed within a short deadline, due to the scheduled move-in of a new condo occupant. He was very responsive, actually adjusting his own company's painting schedule slightly to allow for a quick start of this job. His crew arrived promptly the next day, and was neat and thorough in all the prep work. Smart Choice Painting purchased the paint according to specifications and colors that we had agreed upon, and purchased more as needed during the work to complete the job. We used a "labor cost plus paint cost" method for estimating and completing the work, and Jaime calculated the proper ratios of semi-gloss, eggshell, and flat needed to cover all surfaces with a minimum of excess remaining afterward. All paint remaining at the end of the job was marked and left for any later touch-ups that might be required.

I was enormously impressed by the quick reactions, thorough work, and customer service of Smart Choice Painting, and not only will I personally use them again, I recommend their services to others without any reservation. They "get it" as far as customer service and support is concerned, and my sense is that their company description is completely accurate in terms of what they promise.
