Dry Cleaning Service
This Dry Cleaner was top notch many years ago when I was living in Old
Town. Just moved back to Alexandria and they are not the same. Two
shirts were missing buttons one stained, and my pants came out appearing
unpressed. Not going back again!

Dry Cleaning Service
Very poor - disappointing experience. A few examples - several (very expensive) items were ruined from what appears to be overheating during cleaning and/or pressing process. My clothes have been shrunk, scorched, and stretched. Two pair of expensive dress slacks (Giorgio Armani) that I had had several successful cleaning experiences before when living on the west coast, came back completely ruined - over pressed, with a crease (which they did not have and it is obvious they aren't meant to have). The fabric is now rippled from being over stretched, and they are so long I cannot wear them with my highest heels. I took them back and pointed out the problems. They were polite, and said they would redo them, but afterwards, I noticed no difference, and the slacks are now unwearable. I also took a pair of golf pants that had leather trim on the pockets - they came back with the leather trim cracked and brittle, and the pants fabric was stiff and over-pressed. Again, ruined and not wearable. A couple of cashmere sweaters were shrunk. My boyfriend had used them regularly for over a year (which is why I originally used them). More recently, he took an expensive suit (a birthday present from me), and was disappointed with the results - noting change in texture of fabric (i.e., they 'scorched' the fabric). No one seems to be able to recommend a decent dry cleaner in this area. I don't mind paying more, I just want a cleaner that knows how to handle nice clothing

Dry Cleaning Service
Sam's does all my dry cleaning--clothes, bedding, etc. Items have always come back clean and in good condition. The only complaint I have--and it's a minor one--is that I can sometimes smell dry cleaning solvent on the clothes. This dissipates quickly, however. The staff is always courteous and professional. Their Saturday-to-Saturday 20% off service makes Sam's a great value.

They do a great job and their prices are reasonable. I always mark the stains which helps make sure they see the spots. A couple times I have had them clean an item again because a spot was not completely out, and it worked the second time.
