Ric did an excellent job. He definitely knows the in's and out's of Radon remediation and is a careful craftsman who pays attention to the details. I did recommend him to a friend and she was also very happy with his work. My Radon level in the living space had a 3 month average of 3 PiC/L with peaks as high as 5, and after remediation it fell to a seven day average of .27 which is roughly the outside Radon level.

I had received a lower estimate from another contractor but I felt that Ric was more professional, and he spent much more time with me when writing up the estimate, so I chose Ric.

Fantastic! Best quality work! Installer was extremely knowledgeable about Radon and how best to install the system. Our system looks fantastic on the outside, installer used PVC pipe all the way to roof line for best airflow (instead of gutter downspout material).

RIC LLC was very efficient, effective, clean and wise throughout the installation and subsequent follow-up. We saw ground-level indoor air radon level drop below 2.5% vs. pre-mitigation; it's now well below USEPA (4.0 pCi/L) and WHO (1.0 pCi/L) caps. I would highly recommend his services, but sign-up as early as possible as his schedule fills quickly!

Ric showed up on time and met with us and the home buyer. After discussing two options for the location of the pipes and fan, the buyer requested that everything be located inside the house. This meant going through the garage and venting via the attic. This would result in a higher cost of $725 but the buyer agreed to pay the difference. It also meant the job would take most of the day because storage had to be moved in both the basement and the attic. Ric went to work right away. Even though it was a miserable, rainy day everything proceeded well and the job was done by mid-afternoon. Unfortunately, upon inspection of the draw of air at the end of the line, Ric was not confident that the solution would completely mitigate the radon and he recommended another pipe in the basement and a more powerful fan. It added $500 to the cost but he was confident that it would solve the problem. Therefore, we agreed that he would return the next week and make the enhancements to the solution. Ric showed up the next Monday and made the improvements to the installation in the morning. We ordered another inspection a few days after the work was completed and the results were well below the EPA required thresholds. Ric did a great job and was a pleasure to work with. Do to the age of my home he had difficulty getting the pipes deep enough.  He did a lot of work, staying late. He did good work and cleaned up after himself.  I was very pleased and will be re-testing soon.  He was very polite and pleasurable to be around and I felt very comfortable having him around.

We contacted Ricardo (Ric) Rodrigues because of the good reviews he received on Angie's List.  We were not disappointed.
Ric arrived on time, put down cloths to protect the floor, and promptly went to work.  In addition to the radon mitigation system, he sealed the gaps between the basement floor and walls.  He recognized and alerted us to problems with our 26 year old builder-installed sump and was able to correct the sump issues the same day for an additional charge.
Ric used high quality materials and did meticulous work.  He answered all our questions and explained how to read the gauge to ensure the radon system is working properly.
We are very pleased with the quality of Ric's work and highly recommend him.
