Phyllis Patterson

Initially Phyllis was very responsive and acted as if she cared about us and the sale of our home. After the contract was ratified it was immediately clear she had one loyalty only, and that was to her commission check. After our signed contract with our buyer we had some questions issues we raised to Phyllis. Suddenly she was unresponsive and clearly didn't care about any issue we brought to her attention. It also became clear that she had suggested or offered any contingencies that would have benefitted us the sellers. Instead the buyer pretty much had carte blanche with us and we were soon at her mercy. We had a real estate attorney review the contract Phyllis wrote and pointed out to us numerous mathematical errors. Phyllis was consistency sloppy with details and prone to errors and mistakes which cost us in the end. Even after the home inspection and closing, Phyllis kept coming back to us with demands from the buyer. We finally had to remind her that she worked for US and that it was HER job to push back to the buyer. I was shocked how blatant it was that Phyllis cared only about getting her check and was not there to support us or to answer our questions. I will never use or recommend Phyllis again, and I have shared my experience with everyone I can in our neighborhood association. In the end, Phyllis was unbelievably unprofessional, and at one point even hung up on us only to call us back soon after with more questions. There are plenty of good, honest agents out there who will work hard for you. Phyllis is not one of them. Major regrets having ever picked up the phone to call her. For the $27,000 she earned in commission, her service was horrible! Beware.
