Patricia helped me buy my first house at the ripe old age of 52.  I had put off buying a house for years because the whole process seemed overwhelming, but Patricia made it fairly painless.  She helped me though every step of the process and was always responsive in a prompt and professional manner.  Her training as an architect also came in handy because she was able to see how a house could be modified to meet my particular needs.  In my case, I was looking for a small house for a single person that could also accommodate a couple of sea kayaks.  Ideally I was looking for a small house with a large garage, but when I realized that most houses with garages were too large and expensive I focused on small houses without garages   With Patricia's help I found a small house with a family room that would work if the door were relocated from the back to the side.   Although this house was a bit overpriced we made an offer for $470,000 that included an appraisal contingency.  When the sellers countered that they would accept the offer only if the appraisal contingency was waived I was not sure what I to do.  As I was pondering this situation, I took one more look at Realtor.com and found a three bedroom house with a garage that was in my price range.  This house had just come onto the market.  I had set an appointment with Patricia to discuss House #1 and by the time I arrived at her office I was becoming more interested in House #2.  We discussed the situation and decided that we should look at House #2 which we did later on that afternoon.  After seeing the house, we knew immediately that this was better than House #1 and upon my request Patricia gleefully tore up the offer for House #1 and prepared an offer for House #2.  This offer was accepted and I am now the proud owner of my first house.
