Overall, we were very pleased with Dr. Broome. We are also very happy with her nurse, who is easy to contact and very prompt with answers to any questions or concerns. Her nurse is extremely helpful  with arranging appointments for blood draws and medications/injections, as well as helping us with her knowledge and resources dealing with insurance.We saw Dr. Broome at Georgetown University Hospital, which is not an easy commute, but worth it to get the best treatment in this area for my husband. The treatment is on-going and we do not know yet if the treatment will be successful, but we feel grateful that Dr. Broome and her staff are working with us and giving us hope that we were not getting in the past.

I had a prior history of blood clots and was very concerned about this one since the others led to two pulmonary embolisms. I didn't want to repeat that experience!  Dr. Caffey was very, very professional. I got an appointment for the day after my phone call to his office. Imagine my surprise when I received a phone call from him at home at night even though we were to meet the next day. He was studying my history and researching possible solutions for me. He had a few questions and called me to talk about those questions before our appointment the next day!  When I went in the next day, he had a plan already mapped out for me and was fabulous about explaining it and answering all my questions. His staff is fabulous, the nurses are wonderful, and the young lady that draws blood is a master!  (Highly appreciated skill for someone who is a "difficult stick" like me.)  You can not go wrong by choosing Dr. Caffey for your hematology needs.

I first saw Dr. Trivedi but I now see Dr. Caffey regularly. He's very professional and so friendly. He put me at ease immediately. When I found out I had severe anemia that required IV transfusions I was not looking forward to hours of sitting in a room with strangers for treatment. Marty and Karen are so friendly - they make the visits fun! I really enjoy this office. Oh - and the phlebotomist (I can't remember her name and I feel bad about that) has never, ever missed a vein. I have 'rolling veins' so I dread having blood drawn but not with her.
