Jose Marin, the production manager, met with me first. He was clear in his descriptions and options. Within one day of our having met, he sent me a detailed written proposal of what we had discussed. HIs estimate was at least $1400 cheaper than either of the other companies who subsequently gave me estimates (one of whom informed me that AFTER I signed a contract, they would then send me an detailed estimate!). I had several questions that Jose answered in the weeks before I signed the work order. I felt under no pressure.
The team came about one week after I gave the go-ahead. They arrived about 7:30 a.m. and were finished by nightfall. I found no evidence of their having been there, except for a beautiful new roof. I

We finally got around to having our roof replaced. We should have replaced it years ago but didn't. Jose Marin, from Mount Vernon Roofing, came out and looked at our roof, offered several alternatives, and we chose the one that worked best for us. His company was recommended to me by a neighbor. They had to remove the entire roof (2 layers of shingles) and lots of rotted wood. The weather was in the high 90's most days, and peaked at 102 on one day. They worked as hard as they could early in the day, and then stopped during the heat of the day. They did not want to damage the newly laid shingles. They replaced the entire roof on the house, two porches, and the garage. They replaced lots of rotted wood and trim pieces.
Jose and his crew did an excellent job. I highly recommend them if you need your roof replaced or fixed. They were reliable and efficient.
